Getting Started Phone Setup Installing the SIM Card and Battery Power off y our phone before inst alling or replacing the battery or SIM card. Remove the back co ver as shown. Insert the SIM card into the card slot with the cut corner oriented as shown.

12 Phone Calls Calling from Y our Call History F rom the home screen, t ap > Call log . T ap next to the number y ou want to call. Calling from a T e xt Message If a text message cont ains a phone number that you wan t to call, you can mak e the call while viewing the text message.
T ap Mute to turn your microphone off. To turn your micr ophone back on, tap Mute again. Putting a Call on Hold During a call, you can put it on hold by t apping Hold . Tip: If you accept an incoming call while y ou’re on another call, the first call automatically goes on hold.
Call barring settings F orbid cer tain types of calls. Call forwarding F orward your incoming calls to a diff erent number . Y ou can choose when to forward: Alwa ys forward , F orward when busy , F orward when unanswered , or F orward when unreachable .
Creating a Contact F rom the Cont acts screen, tap to add a new contact. T ap Phone contact to choose where t o save the cont act. Ent er the contact name, phone numbers, email addresses, post al addresses, and other informa tion. T ap Done to save the cont act.

Changing Message Settings The phone’s message settings are pre-configured f or you to use immedia tely . T o change them, press > Settings from the Messaging screen. Storage settings: • Delete old messages: Delet e old messages as limits are reached.

Shooting Video with Y our Camcorder F rom the home screen, tap > Camcorder . Z oom in or out by dragging the slider bar. T ap to begin recording and to stop . T ap the video thumbnail in the corner of the screen to view the video you’ve just t aken.
Opening Y our Galler y Gallery helps you view pictures and play videos. Y ou can also do some basic editing of your pictures, set them as wallpaper or contact icons, or share with f riends. F rom the home screen, tap > Gallery . T ap an album.
Playing Y our Music Y ou can play the audio files stored in your phone’s microSD card in Music. F rom the home screen, tap > Music to access the music player . Select Albums/Artists/Songs/Playlists/ F olders/ GenreList/F avorite to find the songs you want t o play .
Making Memorable Memos Sound Recorder enables you to r ecord your v oice memos. F rom the home screen, t ap > Sound Recorder . T ap to start recording. T ap to stop recording or t ap > OK to cancel recording. Tip: Y ou can find your recordings by t apping My records .
File Manager F rom the home screen, t ap > File Manager . • T ap a folder to view its con tents. • T ap and hold a folder or le f or options such as Delete , Share , Copy , and Move . Kingsoft Office Create, view , and edit Wor d documents, Pow erPoint presen tations, spreadsheets, and other types of files.
Google Applications Signing in to your Google account lets y ou synchroniz e Gmail, Calendar , and Contacts between your phone and the w eb. If you don’t ha ve an account, you can easily create one. T ap a Google application that needs a Google account, such as Gmail or Google T alk.
Google Play Google Play gives you access t o thousands of free and paid apps, games, books and magazines, music, and movies. F rom the home screen, t ap > . Navigating Google Play F rom Play St ore, you will hav e multiple ways to search f or apps, games and more.
Ent er a status message or if you already ha ve one, edit it. In addition to the standard sta tus settings, you can also tap Change to a r ecently-used sta tus to select a message that you’ve en tered pre viously . Press to return to your friends list.
Play Books Browse and download millions of books, including recen t bestsellers and thousands of free books. Play Magazines Discover hundreds o f bestselling magazines, including new or back issues, from cooking to technology , travel, f ashion, sports, photography , and so much more.
Language Settings Y ou can change the languag e of your phone system in tw o simple steps. F rom the home screen, press > System settings > Language & input > Language .
Cannot Recall Y our PIN or Password? Y ou have up to five att empts to unlock your phone. If you still cannot r ecall the PIN or password, you will need t o either contact your carrier f or the PUK (PIN Unlock Ke y) code for the de vice or return it for service.
