Prestige 791R G.SHDSL Router First of all, y ou need to have registere d a dynam ic DNS account with www.dy ndns.org. This is for people with a dynamic IP from their ISP or DHCP serv er that would still like to have a DNS name. To use this service, you m ust register with the Dynamic DNS service provider.

Prestige 791R G.SHDSL Router 6-2 LAN 6.1.2 Private IP Addresses Every machine on the Intern et must have a unique addr ess. If your networks are isolated from the Internet, e.g., only between your two bran ch offices, you can assign any IP addresses to the hosts w ithout problems.

Prestige 791R G.SHDSL Router 7-2 Internet Access 7.2.3 PPPoA Please refer to RFC 2364 for more inf ormation on PPP over ATM Adap tation Layer 5 (AAL5). Ref er to RFC 1661 for m ore information o n PPP. 7.2.4 RFC 1483 RFC 1483 describes two method s for Multiprotocol Encapsu lation over ATM Adaptation Layer 5 (AAL5).

Prestige 791R G.SHDSL Router Peak Cell Rate (PCR) is the maximum rate at which th e sender ca n send cel ls. This para meter m ay be lower (but not hi gher) than t he maxim um line speed. 1 ATM cell is 53 bytes (424 bi ts), so a m aximum speed o f 832 Kbps gi ves a m aximum PCR of 1962 cel ls/sec.

Prestige 791R G.SHDSL Router 8-12 Remote Node TCP/IP Configuration Do not edit filter set s 1 1 and 12. They are used excl usively by the web configurator . Any rules you configured in sets 1 1 and 12 will be erased and replaced when you apply the web configurator-generated filter rules.
