W arning and Safety instructions 9 In the event of a fault or for cleani ng purposes, the tumble dryer is only completely isolat ed from the electricity supply when: – it is switched off at the wall socket and the plug is withdr awn, or – it is switched off at the mains circuit br eaker .

W arning and Safety instructions 12 T o prevent the risk of fir e, the following te xtiles must not be dried in this tumble dryer: – Items which have not been washed. – Items, such as workwear , which have no t been thoroughly cle aned and which are still soiled with gr ease, oil or other desposits (such as cosmetics, lotions etc).
W arning and Safety instructions 13 W arning: Ensure that you always wait until the end of the progr amme before removing the laundry . If the dr ying progr amme is stopped pr ematurely, r emove the laundry immediately and hang it up or spread it out t o cool it down.
W arning and Safety instructions 14 The tumble dr yer must not be used without or – with damaged fluff filters. – with a damaged plinth filter . This would cause an ex cessive build-up of fluff which in turn would cause a fault. The fluff filt ers must be cleaned after every drying cycle.
W arning and Safety instructions 15 Using a fragr ance flacon (optional accessor y) Only use genu ine Miele original fr agrance flacons. The fr agr ance flacon must be stored in its packaging so please make sur e you retain this. Caution. The fr agr ance can run out of the flacon.

Operating the tumble dryer 18 T ouch display and sensors The , and Start/Stop sensors and the sensors in the display r eact to fingertip contact. The display can be scratched by poin ted or sharp objects, e.g. pens. Only touch the touch display with you r fingertips.
Operating the tumble dryer 19 Mix ed items F or dr ying a small mixed load consisting of different types of fabric when it is not obvious which progr amme is the most suitable. The tumble dryer will use the list of it ems to determine the corr ect progr amme setting.

EcoF eedback 23 Y ou can view information about the ener gy consumption of your tumble dryer with the ECO feedback sensor . – An estimate of the consumption befor e the progr amme begins. – During or after drying, the energy consumption ( kWh ) and the cost ( Price per kWh ).

Mixed items 40 Selecting items F or dr ying a mixed load of it ems which can be compiled from a list. The tumble dryer will use the list of items to put t ogether a suitable drying progr amme.
Mixed items 41 Starting the progr amme T ouch the flashing Start/Stop sensor . Once the progr amme is running you cann ot make any more changes. The list of items selected will be delet ed at the end of the pr ogramme and the list will need to be selected again the next time you use this pr ogramme.
Delay start 42 Selecting Delay start With Delay start you can delay the start of the pr ogramme by up t o a maximum of 24 hours. This allows you, for example, t o make use of the cheapest energy tariffs. Please note that the time of day must be enter ed correctly for the Delay start function to work.

Cleaning and care 51 Emptying the condensed water container The condensed water is collected in the condensed wat er container . Empty the condensed water contai ner after every drying progr amme. Empty the container will light up if the maximum level of the condensed water container is reached.
Cleaning and care 52 Pr eparing the condensed wat er container for Steam smoothing Con densed water which has collected in the condensed water container is direct ed into the drum in the Steam smoothing p rogr amme. The condensed water container must therefor e be filled with water up to at least the –min– marker .
Cleaning and care 53 Fluff filters This tumble dryer has 2 fluff filters in the door opening: the upper and lower fluff filt ers trap fluff produced during the drying process. Removing visible fluff Remove any fluff after every drying cycle. Useful tip: Y ou can also use a vacuum cleaner so that you can remove the fluff without touching it.
Cleaning and care 54 Cleaning the fluff filters and air flow openi ngs thoroughly If the drying duration has become lo nger or the surface of the filters is visibly compacted with fluff, you should carry out the following cleaning procedur e. If using a fr agrance flacon, make sure you r emove it beforehand.
Cleaning and care 55 Plinth filter Only clean the plinth filter when Cl ean out airways lights up. T o delete Cl ean out airways : Switch the dryer off and back on again or confirm with OK . Removing the plinth filter P ress the r ound, indented area on the heat ex changer access panel to open it.
Cleaning and care 56 Cleaning the plinth filter panel Use a damp cloth t o remove any fluff. Make sure that you do not damage the rubber seal when doing this. Che ck whether the cooling fins are blocked with fluff (as follows). Checking the heat ex changer unit Danger of inj ury! Do not touch the cooling fins.
Cleaning and care 57 Replacing the plinth filter Fi t the filter back on the handle. Make sure it is the corr ect way round. T o ensure that the filt er is positioned corr ectly in the front of the heat ex changer unit: Fi rst insert the handle with the plinth filter attached over the two guide pins.
Cleaning and care 58 T umble dryer Disconn ect the machine from the mains electricity supply . Do not use solven ts, abr asive cleaners, glass cleaners or all- purpose cleaners.
F ragrance flacon 59 Using a fragr ance flacon (optional accesso ry) will add a pleasant fragr ance to your laundry . Befor e using a fragr ance flacon, please read "W arning and safety instructions - Using a fragr ance flacon (optional accessory)".
F ragr ance flacon 60 Markers and must line up with on e another . T urn the outer ring clockwise a little. – Y ou will feel a slight r esistance and hear a soft click. Marker must be in position : this is the position at which you can feel a r esistance.
F ragrance flacon 61 Damp laundry and longer drying dur ations with sufficient heat transfer are needed for the fr agrance t o be released int o the laundry effectively . The fragr ance will also be noticeable in the room air during the pr ocess. F ragrance is not r eleased when using the Cool air pr ogramme.
F ragr ance flacon 62 Never lay the fr agrance flacon down on any surface as the fragr ance will run out. Only store the fr agrance flacon in its original packaging – When storing the fr agrance flacon in its original packaging whilst you are not using it, e.

They should only be cleaned if the drying process is taking an ex ceptionally long time due to a very high level of dust or fluff in the room in which the dryer is located.

Pr oblem solving guide 71 Steam smoothing spr ay jet Limescale deposits will impair the spr ay jet. In this case, the spray jet must be r emoved and replaced with a new one (see "Optional accessories"). The spray jet can only be r eplaced using the special tool supplied with the new spray jet.

Installation and connection 76 V entilation The cool air intake at the front of the dryer must not be blocked or covered. This would hinder a sufficient intake of cool air for the heat ex changer . Do not block the gap between the bottom of the tumble dryer and the floor with plinth facings, deep pile carpet etc.
Installation and connection 77 Additional installation r equirements The dr yer should not be installed next t o a refrigeration appliance. The warm air expelled fr om the rear of the dryer would increase the temper ature around the r efrigeration appliance's heat ex changer causing the compressor t o run continuously .
Installation and connection 78 Externally drainin g condensed wat er Notes When drying is in progr ess, conden sed water is pumped int o the condensed water container thr ough the drain hose which is locat ed at the back of the dryer .
Installation and connection 79 Arranging the dr ain hose Do not pull on the dr ain hose and do not stretch it or allow it t o become kinked. This could damage the hose. There will be a small amount of r esidual wat er left in the drain hose. Have a container ready t o collect this.

Installation and connection 82 Changing the door hinging Y ou can change the door hinging on this tumble dryer yourself. F or safety reasons, the tumble dryer must be disconnected from the electricity supply before changing the door hinging.
Installation and connection 83 T urn the door lock through 180°. P ress the door lock int o the openings on the opposite side of the door opening. Adjust the position of the door lock so that the scr ew holes line up with those in the front panel of the dryer .
Installation and connection 84 Remo ve the lock catch from the cover . This lock catch cover is no longer needed. However , please keep it in a safe place. Inser t the lock catch into the new cover supplied with the dryer . Place this new cover to one side for now.

These r ods need to be r emoved with a screwdriver or pointed pliers. Inse rt the end of the screwdriver blade under rod and r otate it so it is in an upright position.

Change the lock catch on the door Y ou now need the new lock catch co ver supplied with the dryer which you have already fitt ed with the lock catch.

Settings menu 91 Calling up settings The Settings menu is used to alter the dr yer's electronics t o suit different requir ements. Settings can be altered at any time. T ouch the Settings sensor in the main menu . The settings will appear in the display .
