Chapter 1 • Intr oduction 1037753-0001 Revision A 1 Chapter 1 Intr oduction This manual explains ho w to inst all, commission, and service the Hughes HN7700S a s a T errestrial Broadband Rou ter (HN router). The manual also inclu des inst allation information for the DSL and T -1 transport methods used w ith the HN router .
Chapter 1 • Introdu ction 2 1037753-000 1 Revision A crossov er Cat-5 cable to a single computer or to an Ethernet hub/switch port. It is co mpletely self-contained requiring no external PC to host an y functions or softw are. The software is automatically updated from the Ne twork Operations Center .

During the commissioning process yo u may use auto selection or manual entry of parameters. • Auto Selection - Allo ws you to choose the Network Access Provider (N AP) from a predetermined list of pro viders.

Chapter 7 • System Control Center 1037753-0001 Revision A 41 Chapter 7 System Contr o l Center The System Control Center is an interface that enables users to access router configuration, sta tistics, and status information using a web bro wser from any computer that has TCP/IP connectiv ity to the terminal.
