Operating Instructions 9 2 Envir onmental tips • A pre-wash cycle is not necessary in the case of washing which is not excessively dirt. This saves detergent, water and time (and is gentle on the environment.) • If the indicated load capacities ar e taken full advantage of, the wash- ing machine is especially efficient.

Operating Instructions 11 Contr ol panel Pr ogram Selector The progr am selector determines the type of washing cycle (e. g. water level, drum movement, number of rinses, spin speed) ac- cording to the type of garments being washed, and also the washing solution.
Operating Instructions 12 EASY -CARES Main washing cycle for easy-care text iles (mixed fabrics) at 40 °C to 60 °C. EASY IRON position: Main washing cy cle at 40 °C for easy-care textiles which, with the aid of this progr am, only have to be either gently ironed or not ir oned at all.
Operating Instructions 13 Additional Pr ogram Buttons The additional progr am buttons are for adapting the washing progr am to the dirtiness of the wash- ing. Additional progr ams are not r equir ed for washing which is not excessively dirty . Va rious functions can be combined with each other , depending on the program.

Operating Instructions 37 Carrying out emer gency drainage • If the washing machine no longer pumps off the washing solution, emergency dr ainage must be performed. • If the washing machine is in a room wh ere ther e is a risk of fr ost, emergency dr ainage must be perfor med if there is a possibility of frost.
