4 Y our New W asher -Dryer i Y our new washer-dryer , fitted with the Zanussi “JET SYSTEM”, meets all modern needs for ef fective treatment of laundry with low water , ener gy and detergent consumption.

6 The Contr ol Panel 1 “Memor y” buttons and corr esponding pilot lights A washing and/or drying programme can be stored or recalled by pressing these buttons. T o store: select the required programme using the various b uttons av ailable (see section “Operating sequence”), then start the machine by pressing the ST AR T/P A USE button.
7 4 “TEMPERA TURE” button Press this button if you wish to set a dif ferent temperature from that suggested by the machine for the type of wash selected (see programme chart): the corresponding pilot light comes on. The COLD position is for a wash with cold water .
8 SEP ARA TE SPECIAL PROGRAMMES Important! When selecting these programmes the “F ABRICS” button must not be depressed. - switch the machine on - select the desired special programme - depress ST AR T/P A USE button to start the programme. n SO AK: for heavily soiled laundry , not for w ool .
9 n Delayed start , programmed using the DELA Y ST AR T button (11). The selected delay (19 hours max.) is indicated in the display . The countdown is updated ev ery hour, and ev ery 5 minutes during the last hour .
10 Pr ogramme selection W ashing There are 3 possibilities for choosing the wash programme: - Selection by means of the different push-b uttons - Selection using the MEMOR Y buttons - Selection of the special programmes. n Selection by means of the different push-buttons 1.
W ASHING Before your first w ash, we recommend that you run a cotton cycle at 60°C, without any laundry in the machine, to remov e any manufacturing residue from the drum and tub . Pour 1/2 a measure of detergent into the dispenser drawer and start the machine.
12 5. Select the r equir ed pr ogr amme Press the F ABRICS button to select the required programme; the corresponding pilot light comes on. 6. Select the temper atur e Press the TEMPERA TURE button to select the required temperature; the corresponding pilot light comes on.
13 12. At the end of the pr ogr amme The machine stops automatically and three flashing zeros are displayed. The programme which has just been completed is still in the memory and the corresponding pilot lights stay on.
14 n Drying Max load: cotton 2.5 kg synthetics 2 kg The cotton load has to be dried in two steps. For the synthetics, you can dry the complete load, unless you wish to remov e some items that do not need to be dried. 1. 18 Pr eparing the drying cycle i As a dryer , the machine works on the condensation principle. Therefore, the water tap must be open and the drain hose must drain water into a sink or into the drain pipe, even during the drying cycle.

23 Maintenance and Cleaning Before any maintenance or cleaning is carried out you must DISCONNECT the appliance from the electricity supply . Descaling The water we normally use contains lime. It is a good idea to periodically use a water softening powder in the machine.
24 Cleaning the filter The water drain filter A clean filter is important for the correct functioning of the machine, and should therefore be cleaned after ev ery washing programme. Open the filter door and place a container underneath to catch any spillage.

30 W ater inlet Before connecting the hose be sure to fit the mesh filter «A» supplied as per diagram. Installation should comply with local water authority and building re gulations’ requirements. Set the hose correctly by loosening the ring nut.
31 Le v elling Lev el the washing machine by raising or lowering the feet. The feet may be tight to adjust as they incorporate a self locking nut, but the machine MUST be le vel. Any necessary adjustment can be made with a spanner . Accurate lev elling prevents vibration, noise and displacement of the machine during operation.
32 Electrical connection Any electrical work required to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person. W ARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EAR THED. The manufacturer declines any liability should this safety measure not be observed.
