4 Intr oduction General Thank you for purchasing V iewEra’ s LCD monitor which incorporates high quality display , multiple video inputs, and power -saving ener gy managem ent into a light- weighted LCD monitor .
5 2. Installation The monit or is equipped with an autom atic sensing AC power adapter for a v oltage range from 100 t o 240 V AC at a frequency of 50 to 60 Hz. Before connecting the cables, please make sure that the monitor and the computer power are both t urned off.
6 2.5 Power on T urn on y our moni tor and computer . The LED indicator wil l light green when t he screen is under nor mal condition. If the LED indicator lights amber , please check if the signal cable is securely connected between the computer and the monitor .
7 3. User Controls 3.1 Contr ol buttons (c) (d) (e) (f) (a), (b) a.) Power button It is used t o turn on or off moni tor . b) Power indicator When the monitor is under normal working condition, the indicator will light green; if the monitor is under power saving mode or has no signal input, the indicator will light amber .
8 3.2 OSD m enu in VGA mode Press “ 1” button to enter the OSD main menu. See the Figure as below . Press “ 1” then press UP or DOWN to move the highlight to the desired item and then press “ 1” button to enter . Press “ ^ ” or DOWN to adjust the value of selected i tem and then press “ 1” button for confirm ation.
9 b. Press UP or DOWN to increase or decrease the contrast of the display . Then press “ 1” to confirm the adjustm ent and back to OSD m ain menu. 2) Brightness a. Press UP or DOW N to move the highli ght to Brightness and press “ 1” to enter .
10 3) Sharpness a. Press UP or DOW N to move the highli ght to Sharpness and press “ 1” to enter . b. Press UP or DOW N to increase or decrease the sharp ness of the display .
1 1 4) Color T emperatur e a. Press U P or DO WN to move the hi ghlight to Color T emperature and press “ 1” to enter . b. Press “ 1” to select preset color temperat ure settings, like Cool, Natural, W arm, or select User to adjust Red, Green, Blue independ ently .
12 5) User RGB If User i s selected, press UP or DOWN to move the hi ghlight to Red, and then press “ 1” to enter the adjustm ent of Red, which is done by pressing UP or DOWN. Press “ 1” once to confirm the adjustm ent of Red and move the highlight to Green and press “ 1” to enter the adjustm ent of Green.
13 6) Image Press “ 1” to get the OSD, press “ 1” then UP or DOWN to move the highlight to Image menu, and then press “ 1” to enter Image sub-m enu. Then press UP or DOWN to move the highlight to Auto T une, H Position, V Position, Phase or Clocks.
14 b. Press UP or DOWN to adjust the horizontal position. Then press “ 1” to confirm the adjustment and back to Image menu. 6.3) V Position a. Press U P or DO WN to move the hi ghlight to V Position and press “ 1” to enter .
15 b. Press UP or DOWN to move the vertical position of OSD . Then press “ 1” to confirm the adjustment and back to Image menu. 6.4) Phase a. Press U P or DO WN to move the hi ghlight to Phase and press “ 1” to enter .
16 b. Press UP or DOWN to adjust the phase of signal. Then press “ 1” to confirm the adjustm ent and back to Image menu. 6.5) Clock s a. Press U P or DO WN to move the hi ghlight to Clocks and press “ 1” to enter .
17 b. Press UP or DOWN to adjust the clock of signal. Then press “ 1” to confirm the adjustm ent and back to Image menu..
18 3.2.1 Audio menu Press “ 1” to get the OSD, press UP or DOWN to move the highlight to Audio menu, and then press “ 1” to enter Audio adjust ment, which is done by pressing UP or DOWN. 1) V olume a. Press UP or DOWN to increase or decrease the volume of the built-in speakers.
19 3.2.2 Featur e Contr ols Press “ 1” to get the OSD, press UP or DOWN to select Feature Controls menu, and then press “ 1” to enter Feature Controls sub-menu. Then press UP or DOWN to move the highlight to Sleep T imer , Language, OSD Controls, or F actory Recall.
20 3) OSD Contr ols Press UP or DOWN to move the highlight to OSD Controls and press “ 1” to enter . There are three options under OSD Controls: OSD H Posit ion, OSD V Position, OSD Rotation, and OSD T imer . 3.1) OSD H P osition a. Press UP or DOWN to m ove the highlight to OSD H Position and press “ 1” to enter .
21 b. Press UP or DOWN to adjust the horizontal position of OSD menu. Then press “ 1” to confirm the adjustment and back to OSD Controls sub-m enu. 3.2) OSD V Position a. Press UP or DO WN to move the hi ghlight to OSD V . Position and press “ 1” to enter .
22 b. Press UP or DOWN to adjust the vertical position of OSD menu. Then press “ 1” to confirm the adjustment and back to OSD Control sub- menu. 3.3) OSD Rotate OSD menu can be display ed in different directions. The opti ons of OSD rotation can be Normal, Down, Mirror , Left or Right by pressing “ 1” .
23 3.4) OSD Timer a. Press UP or DO WN to move the hi ghlight to OSD T imer and press “ 1” to enter . b. Press “ 1” to adjust the length of time in seconds for which OSD menu appears on the screen. Then press “ 2” to confirm the adjustment and back to F eature Controls menu.
24 3.3.1 V ideo menu Press “ 1” button to get the OSD, then press “ 1” to enter the Video adjustm ent. Press UP or DOWN to move the highlight to V ideo sub-m enu then press “ 1” button to enter the adjustm ent, which is done by pressing UP or DOWN.
25 4. Dead Pixel Policy Dead pixels on the TFT LCD panel are sometim es inevitable. V iewEra guarantees that the monitor will be replaced if the num ber of dead pixels exceeds 8 pixels within the fi rst year of purchase.
26 7. T roubleshooting 1) No image Check if y ou are using the standard pow er adapter c oming with the m onitor. Check if the power cord is securely connected and the LED li ght on the power ada pter com es on. If the LED light on t he power adapter i s of f, then it is required t o replace the power adapter .
