5 Getting started Getting started Assembly Before you start using your phone, you need to insert a SIM card and the battery. To insert the SIM card 1 Remove the battery cover. 2 Slide the SIM card forward (1), and then backwards under the holder (2) - with the gold-coloured contacts facing down.

12 Getting started Navigation The main menus are shown as icons. Some submenus include tabs. To navigate the phone menus 1 From standby select Menu . 2 Use the navigation key to move through the menus. To scroll between the tabs • Scroll to a tab by pressing the navigation key left or right.
13 Getting started My Files You can use My Files to handle files saved in the phone memory or on a memory card. Handling files You can move and copy files between your phone, a computer and a memory card. Files are saved on the memory card first and then in the phone memory.

29 Imaging Picture blog A picture blog is a personal Web page. If your subscription supports this service, you can send pictures to a blog. To send camera pictures to a blog 1 From standby select Media and scroll to Photo > Camera album . 2 Scroll to a month and a picture.
30 Entertainment With Vodafone live! you can save pictures in a Web-based album. This is useful if you are running out of phone memory, or if you wish to share your pictures with friends in a virtual album that you can access on the Web.

37 Connectivity Using the USB cable You can connect your phone to a computer with the USB cable to transfer files using Mass storage or Media transfer . 38 Troubleshooting To disconnect the USB cable safely 1 Right-click the removable disk icon in Windows Explorer . 2 Select Eject . 3 Disconnect the USB cable when the following message is shown in the phone: Mass storage session ended. It is now safe to remove the USB cable.
39 Troubleshooting I cannot charge the phone or battery capacity is low The charger is not properly connected or the battery connection is poor. Remove the battery and clean the connectors. The battery is worn out and needs to be replaced . See Charging the battery on page 7.
40 Troubleshooting I cannot synchronise or transfer data between my phone and my computer, when using the USB cable. The cable or software that came with your phone has not been properly installed.
