Setting up - 7 Inst alling a SIM or microSD card To take full advantage of your sma rtphone’s telephony ca pabilities, you must install a SIM card. Additionally, you may wish to increase your smartphone’s storage by inserting a microSD card into the lab eled slot.

You will then be asked to enter the contact’s informatio n, such as name, address, and ph one number. You may scroll down the page and tap Add another field to add things such as: • IM addresses.
Making calls - 21 M AKING CALLS This chapter shows you how to make phone calls, and the various options available to you during your call. Before making a call Check that the phone function is on before yo u make a call. You can confirm the phone status from the Notification area.

If open, tap the Back bu tton to close the onscreen number pad. Tap the Settings > Internet Call button at the bottom-right of the call screen.
28 - Internet calling Calling a cont act’ s internet calling address You must add an internet calling address to a contact to be able to place an internet call to them. To make an internet call, from the Application menu t ap People . Tap on the contact to open their profile, and then tap o n their internet calling address to place the call.
Messag ing - 29 M ESSAGING This chapter shows you how to set up and use the Phone messages , Social messages and Social events fu nctions of your smartphone. All SMS and MMS messages are accessed via Messaging . Messaging automatica lly arranges received an d sent messages into threads.
