Basics Basics 15 Using a Sprint Charger Adapter If the connector on your 1 Amp AC charger or vehicle charger is approv ed by Sp rint and it doesn’t fit into the c onnector on the bottom of your device, use the included Sprint charger adapter . 1. Plug the AC char ger into a power sour ce.

For ex ample, the device screen can be of f while the phone is on, or the device screen can be on while the phone is of f . Basics Basics 17 T urning Y our Devic e ’ s Phone On and Of f When your phone is on, it is connected to th e Sprint National Network (provide d you are in a cov erage area) so tha t you can make and r eceive phone calls and use wire less services, such as email, messaging , and the W eb browser .

Basics Basics 19 Scrolling Throug h Screens As on a computer , you scroll on the device to mov e from field to field or page to page, or in some cases to highlight an item or option in a list. Basics Basics 21 Selectin g Options in a Pick List A range of options is often presen ted in a t ype of menu called a pick list, which can be identified by a downw ard-pointing a rrow . Pick lists ar e differ ent from the application menus previously descri bed.
22 Basics Using the K eyboard When using the ke yboard, most people find it easiest to hold the device with two hands and use the tips of both thumbs to press the k eys. The Backspace , Ret ur n , Space , and Shift key s, as well as the le tter ke ys, w ork in the same way as the same ke ys on any c omputer ke yboard.

Bluetooth range is up to 30 feet (10 meters ) in optimum envir onmental conditions.
