(See Figure 2.5.1) The shift handle must be in neutral position to start your engine.

The trailer switch is to be used only when the engine is off. The trailer switch allows the drive unit to be raised for trailering, beaching and launching.

It does not list all of the necessary maintenance and service items required to keep your boat running properly .
3.2 S ection 3 • u Sing y our B oa t 342 Performance ® 3. f uelinG The b oa T The fuel ll cap is located on the port side of the boat (Figu re 3.2. 1). Do not mist ake th e wate r tank ll and waste pump out caps for the gasoline ll cap. Refer to your engine manual for the proper grade of gasoline.
3.3 342 Performance ® S ection 3 • u Sing y our B oa t • Shut of f gas burning appliances (gas stove, etc.). • Close all hatches, doors, and keep engine compartment closed to prevent gasoline fumes from entering the cabin or cockpit area. • All passengers must leave the boat until it is refueled and engine is safely started.
3.4 S ection 3 • u Sing y our B oa t 342 Performance ® • If there are passengers not wearing PFDs, the PFDs must be readily accessible. “Readily accessible” means out of the storage bag and unbuckled. • All throwable otation devices (cushions, rings, etc.
