Inse rt two R 6 (size AA) batt eries by matchi ng t he 3 and # ends on the batteri es to the markings ins ide the battery co mpartment. When usi ng the remote, point it at the remote sensor on the record er.

35 Timer Rec ording Timer Recording Before Recording Before you start recording… • Ch eck that the d isc has en ough availab le space for t he recor ding (p age 2 9). For DVD+RWs and DVD-RWs, you can fr ee up disc spac e by erasing titles (pa ge 56).
36 The r ecorder autom atica lly rece ives an d record s stere o and bil ingua l progr ammes based on t he ZWE ITON sy stem o r the NICAM syst em. A DVD-RW (VR mode) or DVD-R (VR mode ) can re cord both ma in and su b soun ds. You can switch between main and sub when play ing the disc.
37 Timer Rec ording Timer Reco rding (Stand ard/G -Code) You can set the timer f or a tota l of 40 progra mme s, up to 30 day s in advan ce. There are two met hods to set the timer: the standard me thod and G-Code method. • Standard: Set t he date, time , and prog ramme po sitio n of the pr ogra mme manually.

39 Timer Rec ording The G- Code sy stem is a feat ure that simplifi es sett ing the ti mer. Just e nter the G- Code programmin g number list ed in the TV programme guide. The date, time, a nd progra mme positi on of that progra mm e are set automati cally.
40 You can set the record er to reco rd in 30 minu te incr ement s. Press z REC rep eatedl y t o s et the durat ion. Each press a dvances the time in 30 minute increments. The maximu m duration is six hours . The time counte r decreases minute by minute to 0: 00, the n th e recor der sto ps r ecord ing (t he power does n ot tu rn of f).
