Usin g the O ptica l Dri ve 47 5 Close the tray by pus hing it gen tly . Playing a DVD T o achieve optimum perform ance when playing DVDs, it is r ecommended that your compu ter not be connected to th e port replicator while playing DVD mov ies or using DVD applications.

Using PC Cards 51 Using PC Cards Y our comp uter includes two PC card slots. PC cards allow you to co nnect portable external devices su ch as another hard disk drive, or to connect a netw ork. T o insert a PC card 1 Push the Release button once. The Release button p ops out.

Using PC Cards 53 1 Double-click in the taskbar . The “Unplug or Eject Hardware” di alog box appears. 2 Select the h ardware device you wish to remove. 3 Click Stop. In the “Stop a Hard ware device” dialog box, co nfirm that the device can be safely r emoved from th e system.
