NonDO S o perat ing systems If you are installi ng the drive i n a s ystem that i s u sing an oper ating syste m othe r than DO S, you m ay n eed a device driver or instal - lat i o n s oftwa re. The de vice driver is provided by yo ur SCSI ada pter m anuf acturer and is op erat ing- system specif ic.

Make sure th at the dr ive is ru nni ng. List en ca re fully for th e drive m otor spin ning. Also , the dr i v e-act ivity LED flashes when the power is tur ned on. If the LED sta ys on aft er power -on, make sure the int erfa ce cable is pr operly con nected and that no ot her device on t he bu s is u sing t he sam e SCSI I D.
Advanced troub leshoo ting If you ha ve perf ormed the prece ding ba sic che cks but t he prob - lem has not been solve d, follow the se guidelines for analyz ing spe cific ca ses: The syst em do es no t reco gnize the pre senc e of the dri ve or sys tem er ror messa ge, “No Dri ves Foun d,” appears .
