Dialing Options Dialing options are display ed when you pr ess (right softkey) after enter ing numbers in the standby mode. T o select an option, highlight it and press . Call to dial the phone number . Call:Speaker On to dial the phone number in speakerphone mode.

Missed Call Notification When an incoming call is not answ ered, your phone displa ys the Missed Call Notification. T o display the Missed Call entry: Press (right softke y).
End-of-Call Options T o display the follo wing options, press (right softkey) within 10 seconds after disconnecting a call. T o select an option, highlight it and press . Call Again to dial the phone number . Call:Speaker On to dial the phone number in speakerphone mode.

TTY Use A TTY (also known as a TDD or T ext T elephone) is a telecommunications device that allows people who are deaf or hard of hearing, or who have speec h or language disabilities, to communicate via a telephone. Y our phone is compatible with select TTY devices.
36 Phone Setup Options My Shortcut Y our phone of fers you the option of assigning a shortcut key to a fav ourite or often-used function. Pressing the navigation key left in standby mode will launch your user-defined shortcut. 1. Press to access the main menu.

Restricting Calls Y ou can restrict phone number s your phone dials or receiv es. (The Restrict Calls setting does not apply to 911 or Customer Service.) 1. From the Security Menu display (See “ Accessing the Secur ity Menu ” on page 43), highlight Others and press .
Erasing the Downloads 1. From the Security Menu display (See “ Accessing the Secur ity Menu ” on page 43), highlight Erase Download and press . 2. If you ’ re sure y ou want to erase all data downloaded from the W eb, highlight Ye s and press . If you hav e assigned downloaded data, the function returns to its default setting.
Note: If you’re on a call when you leave the home network and enter an area where roaming is available (whether digital or analog), your call is dropped. If your call is dropped in an area where you think service is available, turn your phone off and on again to reconnect to the home network.

53 6. Managing Call History Viewing History Yo u ’ ll find the Call History feature v er y helpful. It is a list of the last 20 phone numbers (or Contacts entr ies) for eac h calls that you placed, accepted, or missed. Call Histor y makes redialing a number fast and easy .

57 Finding Contacts List Entries There are sev eral ways to displa y your Contacts entries: by name, by speed dial number , by 10-4 list, and b y voice dial numbers. Follow the steps outlined in the sections below to display entries from the Contacts list menu.
Assigning Speed Dial Numbers With this f eature y ou can dial Contacts Director y entries with one key press for locations 2-9. Save your memory locations 2-9 for speed dialing your most commonl y used phone numbers. Speed Dial numbers must be stored in your Contacts to use this f eature.
Selecting a Ringer/Image T ype for an Entry Y ou can assign a ringer/image type to a Contacts entry so you can identify the caller by the ringer or image type. T o select a ring er type for an entry: 1. Press the navigation key right. 2. Select the entr y you want to set as the incoming ringer and press .
63 8. Personal Organizer Managing Schedules Calendar Use the Calendar to remind you of ev ents or important calls you need to make. Y ou can schedule up to 100 events, 15 Call Alarms and 20 T o Do Items. Setting the T ime/Date In a no service area or analog ser vice area, it ’ s necessary to set actual time befor e using the Calendar function.
Adding an Event to the Scheduler 1. Press to access the main menu. 2. Highlight T ools/Extras and press . 3. Highlight Calendar and press . 4. Highlight the day y ou want to add an event by using the navigation key and press . 5. Press (r ight softkey) to display the options.

Setting Up Screen Call This featur e enables you to ans wer incoming calls by using pre- recorded announcements, either one that is pr e-recorded or one that you recor d. Y ou can also record the caller ’ s message into the Call Memo list. T o listen to the message, see “ Revie wing Call Memos ” on page 85.
Recording Customized Announcement 1. Follow steps 1-4 on the pr evious page. 2. Highlight Custom and press (r ight softkey). 3. Highlight Record and press . If your announcement has alread y been recorded, select Ye s or No for ov erwriting. 4. Press to start the 1st recording.
Preparing Y our Phone for 10-4 Service The first time you use your 10-4 Phone, y our phone guides you how to use the 10-4 function. 1. Press (right softke y) or the 10-4 button on the side of your phone ( ).
Making a 10-4 Call (1-to-1 Call) Y ou can place a 1-to-1 10-4 call by enter ing a 10-4 number or by selecting a contact from the 10-4 List. 1. Press (right softke y) or press to access the 10-4 List.
Making a 10-4 Call by Entering a Number 1. From standby mode, enter the 10-4 number you w ant to dial. 2. Press to place the 10-4 call. Continue holding to take the f loor and speak. The contact ’ s name appears if there is a matched number in your 10-4 List.
Redialing a 10-4 Call 1. From the 10-4 List, highlight Redial , and press and hold . Y ou will see 10-4 connecting... follow ed by the text “ Y ou have floor . ” 2. Speak after the beep (keep pressing down while you are speaking). When you are finished speaking, release the button to allow others to reply .
T o copy an entry fr om the Compan y List: 1. Press to access the main menu. 2. Highlight Contacts and press . 3. Highlight Find/Add Entry and press . 4. Press (left softkey), highlight Company List , and press . 5. Highlight a contact you want to copy and press (right softkey).
Adding a New Contact to Y our Personal List Y ou can store the total of 200 entries in the Personal List/ Personal Groups. 1. Press (right softke y) or press to access the 10-4 List. 2. Press (left softkey), highlight Personal List , and press . 3. Highlight <Add Contact> and press .
Editing a Contact in Y our Personal List 1. Follow steps 1-2 in “ Adding a New Contact to Y our Personal List ” on page 101. 2. Highlight the entr y you want to edit and pr ess (right softkey). Options: Edit to edit the selected contact. Erase to erase the selected contact.
Erasing an Entry in Y our Personal List or Personal Group List T o erase a contact or a gr oup: 1. From the 10-4 List, press (left softkey), highlight Personal List or Personal Groups , and press . 2. Highlight the entr y you want to er ase and press (right softkey).
