30 Selecting Functions and Options Y our phone offers a set of functions that allow y ou to customize your phone. These functions are arranged in menus and sub-menus, accessed via the two soft keys mark ed and . Each menu and sub-menu allows you to view and alter the settings of a particular function.

34 Phonebook Y ou can store phone numbers and their corresponding names in the memory of y our SIM card. In addition, you can store up to 500 numbers in the phone memory . The SIM card and phone memories, although physically separ ate, are used as if they were a single entity , which is called the Phonebook.

49 Options During a Call Y our phone provides a number of control functions that you can use during a call. Putting a Call on Hold Y ou can place the current call on hold whenev er you want. Y ou can make another call while you hav e a call in progress if this service is supported by the network.
Options During a Call 50 Switching the Microphone Off (Mute) Y ou can temporarily switch y our phone’s microphone off , so that the other party cannot hear you. Example : Y ou wish to say something to another person in the room but do not want the other party to hear you.

Phone Settings 92 Change PIN This feature allows you to change y our current PIN to a new one, provided that the PIN Check feature is enabled. Y ou must enter the current PIN before you can specify a new one. Once you hav e entered a new PIN, you are asked to confirm it by entering it again.
