Entering Text 40 Using Chinese Pinyin Mode Pinyin is a system to mark Chinese pronunciation in Latin alphabets. With the pinyin input method, y ou can enter Chinese characters b y entering the pinyin string from the phone keypad and the phone automatically presents the matching alternatives.

56 Phonebook Menu Phonebook offers the following features: • Phonebook : allows you to find, create or set up the speed-dialling feature and manage Phonebook entries. • Management : allows you to create or remo ve yo ur own number , set up caller groups and check the memory status.

100 Phone Settings Many different features of your phone can be customised to suit your preferences via the Phone settings menu. Greeting Message (Menu 4.1) This menu option allows you to set a greeting message to be displayed briefly when the phone is switched on.
Phone Settings 102 Backlight (Menu 4.2.3) Yo u can specify how long the phone uses the backlight. Select how long the backlight remains on after the last key is pressed or the folder is open. LCD Brightness (Menu 4.2.4) This option allows you to adjust the brightness of the display screens to make them lighter or dark er .

Phone Settings 106 Auto Redial (Menu 4.5) With the Auto R edial function, the phone makes up to ten attempts to redial a phone number after an unsuccessful call. Note : The interval between two call attempts v aries. The following options are av ailable: Off : the number is not redialled.
Phone Settings 108 Service Light (Menu 4.9) This option allows you to select whether or not the service light on. Off : the service light does not flash. On : the service light flashes when your phone is in service area. Active Folder (Menu 4.10) When this option is selected to On , you can simply open the folder to answer a call.
109 Organiser The Organiser feature enables you to: • view the calendar and/or write a memo or to do list. • set the current date and time, and find out what time it is in various cities around the world. • set the alarm so that the phone rings at a specific time.
Organiser 110 • Anniversary : anniversaries to be remembered, such as wedding anniversaries, birthdays or other special days. Note : Y ou can sav e up to 25 items to each category , so you can sav e 100 memos totally . 3. Scroll to a date on the calendar by pressing the navigation keys.
