19 OneT ouch Emergency Call This f eature permits you to dial an emergency number by a single k e y stroke , e v en in the “ Phone Loc k ” o r “ Restrict ” mode. This f eature can be tur ned off to pre- v ent unintentional calls to the emergency number .
20 A utomatic Calls-in-Absence Indicator This f eature indicates the number of unans wered in- coming calls. If incoming calls are not ans wered, the LCD display will indicate “ Called XX ”. “ XX ” is the n um- ber of calls (01 to 99) missed. Example: Depressing any k ey will clear the n umber of calls indi- cated in the display .

23 PHONEBOOK OPERA TION PHONEBOOK OPERA TION Y our phone has an Enhanced Phonebook with 99 dual- number memory addresses. At each address , you can store up to two telephone numbers under one name . This feature allo ws you to store, under one name, a person’ s home and office number , office and mobile number , etc.
24 Overwrite W arning When you attempt to store a n umber in an address where another number has been already stored, y ou will hav e “ O VER WRITE ” war ning. Example: T o store the number 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0 in the address 07, where another num- ber 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 is already stored.
25 Manual Hyphenation Y ou can manually inser t a h yphen at any place when you enter a telephone number . The maximum number is 32 digits long including hyphens . Example: T o inser t a hyphen in the n umber 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 to displa y it as 123-4567. 1 .

29 T o Store a Ring T ype with the Phone Number (Distinctive Ringing) Y ou can choose one of 15 r ing types f or each phonebook address. With this f eature , you will be ab le to distin- guish who is calling by hearing the ringing tone. The ring type is selected while storing the number when the word “ OPTION ” appears.

37 Secret Memory T o Store a Secret Number This f eature permits you to store a phone number that you w ant to keep secret in y our phonebook. 59 System Features A/B System Selection (F51) This feature permits you to select which Cellular sys- tem (A or B) your phone uses . When you turn the phone on, it remembers the last A/B setting and will scan the radio channels based on that setting.
60 In areas where your Carrier has Roaming agreements , your phone will displa y a steady “ Rm ” indication. If your displa y indicates a flashing “ Rm ”, you are in a cellular system which is not associated with y our Carrier (you can still make or receiv e calls).
