5 General • Do not use the phone in extreme temp erature or humidity. The spe cified operating temperature ran ge is -22°F to +140°F (-30°C to +60°C). • Extreme temperatures may have a te mporary effect on the operatio n of your phone. This is normal and doe s not indicate a fault.
6 Emergency (911) Ser v ice If you need to make an emergency (911) call , power the phone o n, dial 911, and press . Emergency calls can be made regardless of lock setting and with or without a SIM card . If no SIM card i s installed, press SOS, then press Yes .

13 Getting Started Removing the Ba ttery Open the battery b y moving the relea se- latch upward then li ft and remove the battery. Note: Before removing the ba ttery, turn the ph one off completely . Installing the SIM Card The SIM card i s inserted in to the back of the phone underneath the battery.
14 Disconnecting the Fast Trav el Charger When charging is completed , disconnect the charg er from the AC wall ou tlet. Grasp the Fast Travel Charger connector and push dow nward to release it from the base of the phone. Low Battery Warning When the battery pow er is low a warni ng tone will sound and a LOW BATTER Y ( ) message will be displayed.

19 Grouping Phonebook Entries The ability to group phonebook entr ies together such as: Friends, Colleagues, Family, Others, VIP or No Group etc., you can define a specific melody for each gr oup. In this case, when a member calls, y ou can identify that the call is coming from a parti cular group.
20 Personalising Your Phone Language It is possible to change the language that the phone u ses for both display messages and tex t entry. Idle > Men u > Personalise > Language > (select a preferred language ) Changing the Ring Tones The ring tones and volumes of the phone can be chang ed to one of many pre-defined sounds.
21 After compo sing the melody , press Me nu and y ou can choose a Tempo and instruments. When the composition is com plete press to save. 25 Editing Text Press and hold to move the cursor up or down one tex t line (or field in Phonebook). Press to move left or right o ne character. When the cursor is moved over a ch aracter and ano ther key is pres sed, the new character w ill be inserted immediately before the sel ected character.
26 Protocol The Message Centre may be able to c onvert the message to the format specified by the selected proto col. Lifetime This is the duration that your message is stored at the Me ssage Centre. Delivery attempts will be repeated until the message has been delivered o r lifetime setting is expired.

31 Setting the Alarm Idle > Men u > A pplication > Clock > Alarm Press Set to set Time and choose a repeat format. Enter the digits w ith 24 hour clock. Press to exit. When the set time is reache d, the alarm will sound. If the al arm is due during a cal l, an 'alarm' indicator w ill display.
