The preset code is 12345. When you have changed the code, keep the new code secret and in a safe place separate from your phone.

Getting started ■ Installing the SIM card and the battery • Keep all mini ature SIM cards out o f the reach of sma ll children . • The SIM card and its contacts can easily be damaged by scratches or bending, so be careful when handling, inserting or removing the card.

Make sure t hat the SIM card is properly inserted and that the golden contact area on the card is facing downwa rds.

Your phone does not support 5-Volt SIM cards and the card may need to be changed.

If you have connected t he CARK126 handsfree unit or the headset to the phone, Handset in the option s list is replaced with Handsfree or Headset and the selection key Handset with Handsfr .

This is an indication that the message has been sent by your phone to th e message centre n umber programmed into your phone.

If the message fails to send, an Undelivered folder will appear containing a list of the recipient(s) who did not receive the message.

If the maximum size is exceeded, t he phone may not be able to receive the message. Depending on the network, you may receive a text message that includes an Internet address where you can view the multimedia message.

Key in or search in contacts for the phone number of the person with whom you want to chat and press OK . Another way t o start a chat: When you have received a message, press Show to read it.

The message profile sets are only displayed if your SIM card supports more than one set. Overwrite setti ngs When the text me ssage memory is full, th e phone cannot receive or send any new messages.

If No access is displayed, you must select another network. The phone stays in manual mode until the automatic mode is selected or another SIM card is inserted into the phone.
