Text en try 22 ■ Predictive text mode Predictive text mode allows you to write me ssages quickly using your ke ypad and the built-in dictionary. Predic tive mode is mu ch faster than the standard mode me thod becaus e you only pres s the co rresponding ke y on your ke ypad once for each lette r.
Messages 23 4. Messages If you hav e subscribed to a m essage netwo rk service, you can send and re ceive messages to compatible phones that also subscrib e to a message service. If supported by your service provider, you can also send and receive multim edia messages, and e- mail .
Messages 24 Insert n umber —Insert a phone number or find a phone number in the contacts li st. Save message —Sele ct Drafts to save th e message in the Drafts fo lder; se lect Te m pl at e s to sav e the message as one of your predefin ed templates in the Te m pl at e s folde r.

Messages 28 Ye s — Allow all incomi ng messages. When ne w messages arrive, you are notified with Multime dia message received or the num ber of multiple messa ges received are displayed. In home ne twork — Allow incoming me ssages only if you a re in the service provider’s home system.

Messages 34 2. Select the m essages you w ish to delete. All —Dele tes all messages in all of the folders. All read —Deletes an y mess ages t hat have be en re ad in al l of th e folder s. All unr ead —Deletes any messages that have not been read in all of the fold ers.
Call log 35 5. Call log Call log stores informat ion about the last 30 mis sed, 30 receive d, and 30 dialed calls. It also adds the total duration of all calls. Wh en the number of calls exc eeds the ma ximum, t he most re cent call re places the oldest .
Call log 36 ■ View dialed numbers Dialed calls are previo us numbers yo u have dial ed from you r device: 1. In the standby mode, select Menu > Call log > Dialed numbers , or press the send ke y. 2. Scroll to a name or number, and select Optio ns .
Call log 37 ■ View duration of data and fax calls Data and fax calls are a network s erv ice. See " Network Ser vices ," p. 7. If y our wir ele ss service provider supports this feature, you can view the size or duration of sent or received data and fax calls.
Contacts 38 6. Contacts The contacts lis t can hold u p to 500 conta cts with multipl e numbers and te xt notes for each contact. The amount of numbers and text entries that you can save may vary, depending on length and the total number of entries in the contacts list.
Contacts 39 5. Enter any rema ining pauses or other inform ation that allows you to lis ten to your messa ges, an d select OK . 6. Enter a name ( such as voice mail) , and select OK . To dial and listen to you r voice mail, pr ess and hold t he assigned 1-touc h dialing key in the standby mode.

Camera 51 10 . C a m e r a You can take photos and record video clips w ith the built-in camera. The camera lens is on the back of the device. The camera produces photos in JPEG format and video clips in H.
Camera 52 Change mode In the standby mode, select Menu > Cam era > Options > Change mode or, from the viewfinder mode , press and hold the right or left joystick position to switch between the follow ing modes: Standard photo —Take normal landscape photos.
Camera 53 Other o ptions In the standby mode, select Menu > Camera > Options to display the following additional options: Zoom —Zoom in closer to your image before capturing a photo or get a closer look at the captured photo. Use the joystic k to navigate around the photo.
Media 54 11 . M e d i a ■ Media player The media player allows you to download, view and play compatible images, audio and video files and animaated images from a vari ety of sources. The media player all ows you to play streaming videos and streaming audio from a netw ork server.
Media 55 Use the radio With the radio on, select Op tions and one of the following opti ons: Turn o ff —Tu rn off the radio. Save channel —Save the current sta tion to one of 20 locations . Automatic tun ing —Pres s the joystick up or down to start the ch annel sea rch.
Media 56 ■ V oic e recorder This feature allows you to record piece s of speech or sound with your device and listen to them la ter. The total availa ble time is 3 minut es if no memos have been stored. The maximum length of a recordi ng depends on how much memory remains availa ble.

Settings 60 If you use th e Auto-update of date & time option while outside your digital network, you m ay be prompted to enter the time manually .
Settings 61 Automatic r edial Occasionally, your network may experience he avy traffic, resulting in a fast busy signal when yo u dial. With aut omatic redi al activated, yo ur device redials the number (numbe r of times is specified by the network), and notifies you once the network is a vailable.
Settings 62 Make ca lls After you hav e saved you r calling card in fo rmation in y our device, you can ma ke a call with yo ur calling card. 1. In the standby mode, select Menu > Se ttings > Call sett ings > Calling card . 2. Enter your lock code, and select OK .
Settings 63 Call summar y Your de vice can d isplay the time sp ent on a call when you ha ng up. In th e stand by mode, select Menu > Se ttings > Call settings > Call summary > On or Off . Ringi ng tone for no caller ID You can select a different ringing tone for calls received with no caller ID.
Settings 64 Memory status You can view the size of memory available on your device. In the standby mode, select Menu > S ettings > Phone settings > Memory status > Size , Free memory , Used memory , Contacts , Gallery , Multimedia msgs. , or Organizer .
