User's Guide Before You Begin 1.3 The Power LED The Power LED is located on the power button ( Chapt er 1.6 ) and is used to indicate the power status of yo ur system unit. The table below illustrates h ow the Power LED behaves in different situations.

In this case when the adapter is connected to th e system unit, adapter starts providing power to the system unit as well as chargi ng the batteries.

Battery User's Guide 2.3 Questions and Answers: Q: I can feel a mild heat next to the battery pack. Is it normal? A: The battery will gen erate heat during recharging and discharging. There is a protection circuit i nside the notebook to prevent overheating.
User's Guide Battery 2.4 Battery Maintenance To maintain the battery pack's m aximu m capacity, you should occasionally let the notebook deplete its batt ery power complet ely before recharging. To carry out a compl ete depletion of the batt ery, disconnect the AC adapt er and let your notebook consume the rem aining battery power.
