Plug the full-size U SB connec tor on the other end of the cord into the power supply, and plug the power supply into an el ectrical outlet.

© 2015 Microsoft Page 8 Connect to a wi red network 1. Plug a USB t o Ethernet adapter (sold se parately) into the USB port on your Surface. 2. Plug an Et hernet cable into the adapter, a nd plug the other end of the cabl e into your router or an Ethernet network port.
© 2015 Microsoft Page 9 First, though, think a bout whether any new acc ount you create will be a local account that works only on this one Surface, or a Microso ft account (an email address and pass word that you use to sign in to Window s). A Microsoft account provides the best experience.

© 2015 Microsoft Page 11 To set an account type: 1. Sign in with an administrator account. 2. Go to St art , and selec t PC settings > Accounts > Othe r accounts , and selec t the account you want to change. 3. Selec t Edit , and under Account typ e , choose the account type, and selec t OK .

Go to Surf ace 3 update history on Surface.c om and look in the table at the top of the page to see the latest avail able System Update.

Then, sel ect what you want to capture i n the sc reenshot by dragging the tip of the pen from one corner of your selecti on to the opposi te corner. When you lift the pen tip, your selection appears in a new pag e in OneNote.

They won’t need to install any spec ial programs or sign up for a new account, and they c an use any web browser to get to the files y ou share wit h them.
