2 Reach ing STi Mo bile Cus tomer Care You can reach STi Mobile Cus tomer Care by: ¾ Dialing ¼ 611 on your ST i Mobile phone ¾ Calling us toll-free at 1-800- 784- 3277 (Consumer customers); or ¾ Writing to us at STi Mobile, 30-50 Whitestone Express w ay, Flushing, NY 11354 .
3 _ indicates your phon e is in vibrate mode. _ indicates you have new text messages. _ indicates you have vo icema il messages. Press and hold to call your voicemail b o x. _ indicates you have n ew text and voice messages. _ indicates your phone’s loca tion feature is enab led.
4 2. Push up on the battery release latch on the back of the p hone. 3. Remove the battery from the phone at a 45-degree ang le. Chargi ng the Batte ry Your STi Mobile phone com e s with a rechargeable battery. You should charge the batter y as soon as possible so you can begin using your ph one.
5 Missed Call Notification When an incoming call is not answered, the Missed Call log is displayed on your screen. To display the Missed Call entr y : _ Highlight the entry and press OK .
6 _ OK to return to the main menu. (You can also press End .) _ Call to dial the phone number. Note: The End-of-Call options are not disp layed for calls identified as No ID or Restricted. Saving a Phone Number Your STi Mobile phone can store up to five p hone numbers in each of 99 Internal Phone Book entri es.
7 Using One-Touch/Two-Touch Speed Dialing With this feature, you can dial Speed Dial ent ries using one key press for locations 1-9 or two key press es for locations 10 -99. To use One-Touch Dialing for Speed Dial locations 1-9: _ Press and hold the appropr ia te key for approximately two seconds.
8 _ W X Y Z 9 _ 0 _ Space _ Shift After a character is entered, the cursor automatically adv ances to the ne xt space after two seconds or when you enter a character not on the same ke y. Entering Symbols and Numbers To enter symbols, select SYM mode.
9 5. Highlight With Caller ID, No Caller ID press OK . 6. Highlight a ringer type and press OK . You will hear a preview of the ringer type w hen you highli ght it. Selecting Ringer Types for Messages To select a ringer type for messages: 1. Highlight Settings and press OK .
10 Changing the Contrast To adjust the contrast on the phone’s display: 1. Highlight Settings and press OK . 2. Highlight Display and press OK . 3. Highlight Contrast and press OK . 4. Highlight a contrast level and press OK . T he screen w ill display the effect s of the settings as you highlight them.
11 When the Location feat ure is on, your phone’s standby screen will display the icon. When Location is turned off, the icon will display. Phone Setup Options Call Answer Mode To set the actions required to ans w er an incoming call: 1. From the main menu, highlight Settings and press OK .
12 Unlocking Your Phone To unlock your phone: 1. Highlight Unlock and press OK . 2. Enter your lock code. Changing the Lock Code To change your lock code: 1. From the Security menu, highlight Change Lock Code and press OK . (See “Accessing the Security Menu” on this page.
13 Menu Navigation The navigation key on your S Ti Mobile phone allows you to scroll through menus q uickly and easily. The scroll bar at the right of the menu keeps track of your position in the menu at all times. T o navigate through a menu, simply press the navigation key up or do w n to highlight menu opt ions.

15 _ Saving a Phone Number From Call Hist ory _ Erasing Call History The Call History keeps track of incomin g call s; calls made fr om your STi Mobile phone, and missed calls. This section guides you through access ing and making the most of your Call History.
16 _ Set Speed Dial to select a speed dial location for the entr y. Highlight an availabl e location and press OK . (See “Using One-Touch/T wo-Touch Speed Dialing” on page 25.) After you have saved the number, the ne w Internal Phone Book entry is displayed.
17 Note: When entering text to search for an entry, the Ab c mode of text entry applies. (See “Entering Text” on page 25.) The phone searches for any consecutive string of lette rs in an entry’s name, so enter ing “r” or “er” would find “Jerry”; entering “jr” would not.
18 Note: Phone numbers labele d F ax or Data can only be dialed through a personal comp uter. Editing an Internal Phone Book Ent ry’s Phone Number To edit an entry’s phone num ber: 1. Display an Internal Phone Book entr y. (See “Displaying an Internal Phone Book Entry” on page 58.
19 Tip: If you can’t recall your lock code, try using the last four digi ts of either your Social Securit y number or ST i Mobile phone number or try 0000. If none of these work, ca ll STi Mobile Customer Care 1-800-784-3277. After you have saved the changes, the Intern al Pho ne Book entry is displayed.
20 Event Alerts There are several w ays your ST i Mob ile pho ne alerts you of scheduled events: _ By playing the assigned rin ger type. _ By illuminating the backlig ht. _ By flashing the LED. _ By displaying the event’s description, time, and date.
21 1. From the Scheduler menu, highli ght an event and press OK . (See “Viewing Events and Event Options” on pag e 67.) 2. Press to display the event options. 3. Highlight Change Settings and press OK . 4. Highight Edit Alarm and press OK . 5. To select an option, highlight it and press OK .

24 New Voicemail Message Alerts When you receive a ne w voicemail message, your phon e aler ts you and prompts you to call your voicem ail. To call your voicemail, press and hol d 1 .

26 STi Mobile Messages Now, through the enhanced ST i Mobile Coverage Area, you can receive numeric pages on your STi Mobile phone. Numeric Pages Callers can send a numeric page to your phone when they reac h your voicemail box. Numeric paging to a STi Mobile phone is included at no additi onal cost.
