10 2.2. 3 Import ant I nformat ion Abo ut the Bat tery • If the battery has not been used for a long time, you may not be able to power on your mobile phone immediately af ter you begin charging the bat tery. Allow the battery to charge for a few minut es with the phone powere d off before attempting to power the phone on.

22 3.3 Other Opera tions During a Call 3.3.1 Making a Conferenc e Call If you receive a new call while yo u are already in a call, you can add the second c all to the call you are in . This feature is known as conference ca lling. You can also s et up a conference call with multiple callers.

27 4.10.1 Logging in to a n Account 1. The first time you access Streams, touc h Login to Social Network . 2. Select the type of account that yo u want to log in to. Then follow the on-screen setup instructions to complete login. You can log in to different type s of accounts at the same time.
28 4.11 Managing Grou ps 4.11.1 Creating a Group 1. On the Home screen, touch > Contacts . Then flick the tab bar to the lef t and touch Groups . 2. In the groups list, touch , and then touch Create group . 3. Enter the name and picture you wan t to assign to th e group, and then set a ringtone for it.
29 4.12 Joining and Sep arating Contacts You may have duplicate c ontacts if you import conta cts by: • Adding an account , such as a Gmail account. • Using the social net working services s uch as Facebook or Tw itter. (If your phone has the Streams fu nction, you can use it to a ccess Facebook or Twit ter.
30 4.13 Sending Contacts You can send contacts as a .vc f file via Bluetooth or Email. 1. In the contacts list, touch . 2. Select contacts that you want to send. 3. Touch Send . 4. Select the way you prefer to send the c ontacts you have se lected, for example Bluetooth or Email.
31 5.1. 2 Usin g the Andr oid Key board The keyboard layout may v ary slightly depending on the fie ld where you are entering text. The previous f igure is provide d for your ref erence only. On the Home screen, touch > Settings > Language & keyboard > Android keyboard > Voice input to turn on or turn off voice input.
32 6 Messaging The Messaging application allows you to exchange text messages (SMS) and multimedia messages (MMS) with anyone using an SMS-or-MMS -capable phone. With the Email application you can read and s end emails. 6.1 SMS and MMS 6.1.1 Opening M essaging Touch > Messaging .

39 7.4.1 Connecting to a Wireless N etwork via the WPS Button 1. Turn on Wi-Fi, and then access the Wi-Fi setting s screen. 2. Touch WPS button connection . 3. Press the WPS button of the Wi-Fi access point. When your phone con nects to the network, it displays a message.

49 9.1 Creating a Goog le Account If you do n ot have a Go ogle account, y ou can creat e one: 1. After reading the setup information , touch Next . 2. Touch Create . 3. Enter the first name, last name, and user name for your Google ac count, and then touch Next .
50 9.2. 3 Creat ing and Sending a n Email 1. In the mail list, touch , and then touch Compose . 2. Enter the message recipie nt’s email address in the To field. If you are sending the email to several recipie nts, separate the e mail addresses with co mmas.

You can use it to communicate in real time with other people using Talk on a phone or on the web. 9.3.1 Opening T alk On the Home screen, touch > Talk to open the application. Your Talk account is bas ed on the Google acc ount you set up with your mobile phone.

56 10.1.1 Adding an Account When you add an account , the Contacts application compares cont acts from the newly synchronized ac count with contact s from your existing mo bile phone accounts and attempts to merge duplic ates into a single entry in Contacts .
