18 DUAL-DECK VCR USER'S GUIDE Adding or Deleting Channels The first time you set up your Dual-Deck VCR, you must use AUTO PROGRAM before you can manually add or delete channels. T o add or delete channels manually: 1 From the TUNER/CHANNEL LIST menu, press the number keys to tune in the desired channel.
CHAPTER 4 - COPY FEATURES 19 C H A P T E R 4 Copying a T ape Copying tapes is what owning a Dual-Deck VCR is all about. Just follow these simple steps: 1 Insert your source tape into Deck 1 on the left side of the Dual-Deck VCR. 2 Insert your target tape into Deck 2 on the right side of your VCR.
20 DUAL-DECK VCR USER'S GUIDE Copy Mode Y our Dual-Deck VCR offers three copy modes: Auto, HQ1 and HQ2. HQ (High Quality) refers to Go-V ideo’s patented AmeriChrome Circuitry for optimal duplicating results. T o set the Copy Mode: 1 Press MENU until the DUAL-DECK FEA TURES menu appears.

CHAPTER 5 - PLAYBACK FEATURES 23 C H A P T E R 5 Playback Features Playing a T ape It’ s easy to play back tapes with your Dual- Deck VCR: 1 Insert a videotape into either deck of your VCR. 2 If the tape is missing the record safety tab and AUTO PLA Y is on, the tape will begin to play automatically .
24 DUAL-DECK VCR USER'S GUIDE Special Playback Functions The following Special Playback Functions can be activated whenever a tape is playing. T o resume normal playback, press PLA Y again or press STOP to stop the tape. Play Still - Pause the tape for a stop action picture.

34 DUAL-DECK VCR USER'S GUIDE A fter you are experienced with the procedures of automatic assembly editing, you may choose to skip the note taking step and directly enter the scenes during playback. When you are finished, you will have an Edit List from the source tape.
CHAPTER 7 - EDITING FEATURES 35 4 Play the source tape in Deck 1 to the beginning of the first scene (in our example this is tape counter position 0:01:08). Press the BEGIN key to mark the beginning of the scene. 5 Play the tape to the end of the scene (in our example this is tape counter position 0:03:34).
36 DUAL-DECK VCR USER'S GUIDE Continuing a Sync Edit During a Sync Edit, you can reposition the source tape and make additional edits. T o do so, follow these steps: 1 While the Sync Edit is in progress, press COPY T APE again to enter Copy T ape Pause mode.
