Description of the appliance 12 Soaking duration appr ox. 20 minutes, maximum 40 ° C (approx. 15 minutes when EASY -CARES button is additionally pressed). Afterwards the washing r emains in the water until the water has been pumped out. PUMP OUT Pumping out of water after RINSE HOLD (without spin) or after separate soaking.

15 Pr eparing the washing cycle Sorting out and pr eparing washing • Sort out washing according to the type and car e symbol (see "Types of washing and care symbols"). • Empty the pockets. • Remove any metal parts (safety pins, badges).

18 Run wash cycle Brief instructions A washing cycle proceeds in the following steps: 0 Check whether the water tap is opened. 0 Open the door , load the washing. 0 Shut the door . 0 Add washing powder/conditioner . 0 Set the correct washing pr ogram and temperatur e.
Run wash cycle 19 Add deter gent/conditioner 0 Pull out the detergent dr awer as far as it will go. 0 Add detergent/conditioner . 3 For instructions on detergent and conditioner s, se e "Washing powder s and conditioners". 0 Push the deter gent drawer in complet ely .

Run wash cycle 21 Start the washing pr ogr am, set the final spin speed or select RINSE HOLD 0 Check the water tap is opened. 0 To start the washing machine, pull out the progr am selector . The indicator ON light is illuminated, washing progr am starts automatically after six seconds.
Run wash cycle 22 • SOAKING 3 After soaking separ ately , the water must be pumped out first and the n the main wash cycle can be set as desir ed: 0 Release the SOAKING button, or rotate the pr ogram selector clockwise to PUMP OUT (water is pumped out).

26 Maintenance and Cleaning In daily use 0 After the progr am has finished pull out the detergent compartment a little so th at it can dry out. 0 Leave the door ajar for a while. This helps to prevent stagnant smells, and helps to preserve the door seal.
Maintenance and Cleaning 27 W ashing machine drum The washing machine dru m is made fr om rust-free stainless steel. Any objects left in the laundry which are likely to rust can stain the drum. Important! Do not clean the stainless steel drum with descaling agents containing acids, scouring agents containing chlo rine or iron or steel wool.
28 T roubleshooting 3 The whistling noise when spinning may be different to your prevous washing machine which is due to the modern drive system. Certain pr oblems etc. If you call out an engineer and the fault is listed here, a charge is levied even if the appliance is in guar antee.
Troubleshooting 29 Water is leaking out from under the washing machine. The inlet hose connection is not tight. Tighten the inlet hose connection. The inlet hose has a leak. Check the inlet hose and if necessary r eplace it. The drain pump cover is not tight.
Troubleshooting 30 If the washing r esults ar e n ot satisfactory If the washing turns greyish and limescale deposits are pr esent in the drum • Insufficient washing powder has been added. • Incorrect washing powder was used. • Stains were not pretr eated.
