8 Getting Started OPERA TING YOUR HOOD The hood is operated using the slide controls under the front edge of the hood. The light switch turns the halogen lights on and off. 9 Operation HALOGEN BULBS This range hood requires two halogen bulbs (T ype MR16, 12V olt, 20 Watt Max). 1 Loosen the ring nut by turning it counterclockwise. 2 Remove the bulb by pulling downward (DO NOT ROT A TE). 3 Replace with T ype MR16, 12V olt, 20 W att Max halogen bulb.

12 Installation INST ALLA TION PLANNING A qualified installer must complete the installation of this built-in appliance. Proper installation is your responsibility . Carefully check the location where the hood is to be installed. The hood should be placed for convenient access.

15 Installation INST ALLING THE HOOD MOUNTING BRACKET 1 Construct wood wall framing that is flush with interior surface of wall studs. Make sure: a the framing is centered over installation location. b the height of the framing will allow the mounting bracket to be secured to the framing within the dimensions shown.
16 Installation INST ALLING THE HOOD 1 Raise the hood into its mounting location. 2 Align the rectangular opening on the back of the hood with the wall-mounting bracket. Gently lower the hood until it securely engages the bracket. 3 Make minor changes to the hoods horizontal and vertical position by adjusting screws on the wall mounting brackets.

18 INST ALLING THE FIL TER(S) 1 T o remove the grease filters, grip the latch and pull it down. This will disengage the filters from the hood. T ilt the filters downward and remove. 2 T o install the grease filters, align rear filter tabs with slots in the hood.
19 Installation VERIFYING OPERA TION • Install the filters. • V erify that the hood control knobs are in the OFF position. • T urn on the main power supply . • Slide light switch to the ON position. Lights should illuminate. • Slide blower switch to the ON position.
