Th e trigg ered sequen ce is between 1-180 seconds o f constant sir en and flashin g park- ing li ghts . ■ If a door is open ed, the system will imm ediately start chirp- ing th e siren and flashin g the parkin g ligh ts.

Just press for 1 second , and you will en ter P anic M ode . The siren will sound an d the parking li ghts will flash f or the pr ogramm ed siren d uration.

14 © 1999 Directed Electr onics , Inc . If the bypassed sen sor tries to trigg er the security system while it is being bypassed , the 60-minute bypass peri od will start over . This ensur es that a sensor that is contin ually tri ggerin g will rem ain bypassed.
15 © 1999 Directed Electr onics , Inc . If the system is arm ed while an input is active (door open, sensor trigg ering, etc.) th e unit will chirp once wh en arming an d then one m ore time a few secon ds later . This is called Bypass Notifi cation.

17 © 1999 Directed Electr onics , Inc . Code Hopping The r eceiver and tran smitters each use math emati cal form ulas called algorithm s to change th eir codes each tim e the tr ansmitter is used. This techn ology has been developed to incr ease the secu- rity of th e unit.

P ow er Saver Mode Y our security system will automatically en ter Power Saver M ode while armed or in V alet ® Mode , after a period of tim e in which n o operati on has been performed . This lowers the curr ent d raw to pr e- vent th e security system from dr aining th e vehicle’s battery .

23 © 1999 Directed Electr onics , Inc . ■ Progr essive unlocking: In most cars with electri c power door locks, th e system can be configured so that wh en the system is disarmed , only the driver’s d oor unlocks. A secon d press o f within 15 seconds o f disarming unlocks the oth er doors .
