Carrier When the fan is set for automatic operation it will energize any time there is a call for heating or cooling, otherwise the fan will remain off. Pressing the F AN button will energize the fan and display the FanOn icon on the thermostat display .

These outputs are designed to have different functions depending on how the jumpers are set ( below ). Each output, labeled MISC1, MISC2, and MISC3 may be set for one of the five choices available.
