52 AUTO Mode Quic k Star t When you close the LCD panel with th e camcor der on, the camcor der enters the standby mode. In st andby mode the camcor der consumes only abou t 1/3 the power used when r ecord ing, saving ener g y when you are using a batte ry pack.
