xx Do not install the machine in unstable locations, such as unsteady platf orms or inclined floors, or in locations subject to exc essive vibrations, as this ma y cause the machine to fall or tip over , resulting in personal injury. Never block the v entilation slots and louvers on the machine.
xxi P ower Supply Do not damage or modify the power cor d. Also , do not place heavy objec ts on the power c ord, or pull on or ex cessively bend it, as this could cause electrical damage and result in a fire or electrical shock.
xxii Handling Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the machine. There are high-temperatur e and high- voltage components inside the machine which ma y result in a fire or electrical shock.
xxiii Do not place your hands , hair , clothing, etc., near the e xit and feed rollers. Ev en if the machine is not in operation, your hands , hair , or clothing may get caught in the rollers, which ma y result in personal injury or damage if the machine suddenly star ts printing.
xxiv Maintenanc e and Inspec tions When cleaning the machine, first turn OFF the main pow er switch, then disconnect the power cor d. F ailure to observe these steps may result in a fire or electrical shock.
xxv When loading paper or removing jammed originals or paper , take care not to cut your hands on the edges of the originals or paper . When removing a used toner cartridge, remo ve the cartridge carefully to prevent the toner fr om scattering and getting into y our eyes or mouth.
xxvi Super G3 Super G3 is a phrase used to describe the new generation of fax machines that use ITU- T V .34 standard 33.6 Kbps* modems. Super G3 High Speed Fax machines allo w transmission times of approxima tely 3 seconds* per page which results in reduced telephone line charges.
