Note Y ou will not be able to copy a number in the redial list to the director y if the director y is already full.

The loudspeaker volume will be set at 5. Press the VOL + button on the base to increase the volume.
Audible message alert When new messages have been received, your Quar tet 3500 will beep ever y 10 seconds (when audible message aler t is switched ON). The volume of the beep is at the volume you have set for the loudspeaker . The default setting is OFF .
Answer and Record Y our Quar tet 3500 has a pr e-recor ded Answer and Record outgoing message that allows your caller to leave a message. “Hello, your call cannot be taken at the moment, so please leave your message after the tone”.
Press the NEW option button. Y ou will hear , “Please speak after the tone. To end recording, press #”. After the tone, speak your outgoing message into the handset. Press the # button when you have finished. Throughout recor ding r will flash on the base unit display .

T o check or play your outgoing message via the base unit Y ou can check and play your cur r ent outgoing message at any time via your Quar tet 3500 base unit. Press the ANS ON/OFF button. The prompt will announce either: “Answer on, your outgoing message is.
Pick up the handset. Press the UP or DOWN button until the display shows Answer Settings . Press the OK option button. Press the UP or DOWN button until the display shows Answer Mode . Press the OK option button. Use the UP or DO WN button to highlight the mode you want to set, either: Answer and Record or Answer Only .

Memos can be of any length, up to the maximum recor ding capacity (12 minutes), but you should tr y to keep them shor t to allow time for recor ding incoming messages.
T o screen a call from the base unit While listening to your caller leaving a message via the base unit loudspeaker , you can decide to take the call by pressing the T ALK button on the handset. Or If the handset is resting in the base unit and you decide to take the call, lift the handset of f the base and speak to the caller .
