Registering a new Diverse 3000 Classic handset with the base station It is essential that you register your handset with your Diverse base station for it to work. The following are basic instr uctions on how to do this, but these may dif fer if you have a Diverse 2-Line or Diverse ISDN.
At the base station: Press and hold down the PA G E button on the base station (for about 10 seconds) until you hear the tone. At the handset: Display shows the handset numbers available, eg – 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 . N.B. There is a small delay before these numbers are displayed on the screen.

Emergency numbers Storing your own additional emergency numbers Before call bar ring has been set, you can add up to four additional emergency numbers, each up to 16 digits long. For example, the doctor ’ s number , your par tner ’ s mobile phone or other family number .
T o dial your additional emergency numbers Press the GREEN PHONE button to obtain a dial tone. Dial the additional emergency number . 999 and 112 emer gency ser vices numbers are not af fected by any call bar ring setting. Y ou will still be able to dial them.

Once you have set your Diverse 3000 Classic to ring priority , you can select the handset you want to ring first. The handset registered with the base station as 1, is automatically the priority handset and will ring first unless you specify another handset.
