33 2 JOHNSON CONTROLS FORM 100.50-NOM6 (1207) AIR HOODS FOR ECONOMIZER There are two (2) economizer outside air intake hoods pro vid ed with the unit. The front and rear hoods are made operational per the following instructions: • Remove the screws holding the economizer hood ship ping covers in place.
34 JOHNSON CONTROLS FORM 100.50-NOM6 (1207) Installation CO2 Sensor The addition of a fi eld installed CO2 sensor is required for Demand V entilation operation. The default input span for the control is 0 to 2,000 ppm with an output voltage range of 0 to 10 VDC.
35 2 JOHNSON CONTROLS FORM 100.50-NOM6 (1207) V A V Heat Relay Output This is a 24 VDC output that is turned on when the unit is in the heating mode. The fi eld can use this as a signal to trigger the opening of the V A V boxes for heating operation.

44 JOHNSON CONTROLS FORM 100.50-NOM6 (1207) Installation DUCT SYSTEM Duct Connection Guidelines All intake and discharge air duct connection to the unit may be made directly to the unit. These air duct con nec tions should be on fl exible material and should be installed so they are suffi ciently loose.
45 2 JOHNSON CONTROLS FORM 100.50-NOM6 (1207) GAS PIPING Proper sizing of the gas piping depends on the cubic feet per hour of gas fl ow required, specifi c gravity of the gas and the length of run. National Fuel Gas Code Z223.1 – latest Edition should be followed in all cases unless superseded by local codes or gas company requirements.
46 JOHNSON CONTROLS FORM 100.50-NOM6 (1207) Installation 6. The furnace and its individual manual shut-off valve must be disconnected from the gas supply piping system during any pressure testing of that system at test pressures in excess of 0.5 PSIG.

53 3 JOHNSON CONTROLS FORM 100.50-NOM6 (1207) GAS HEA T MODELS Pre-Start Checks: • When starting up these units, it is imperative that ALL gas fi ttings within the unit (in addition to the fi eld installed gas connections) are leak checked with a soap solution as part of the unit commissioning process.
54 JOHNSON CONTROLS FORM 100.50-NOM6 (1207) Startup • Check the supply pressure. It must be within the limitations shown in T able 3-2. Supply pressure should be checked with all gas appliances in the building at full fi re. At no time should the standby gas pressure exceed 13.

GENERAL A planned program of regularly sched uled main te nance will return div i dends by avert ing possible costly and un ex pect ed pe ri ods of down time.
56 Maintenance JOHNSON CONTROLS FORM 100.50-NOM6 (1207) Condenser Coils Dirt should not be al lowed to accumulate on the con dens er coil surfaces. Cleaning should be as often as nec es sary to keep coil clean.
57 4 JOHNSON CONTROLS FORM 100.50-NOM6 (1207) Belt T ensioning: Belt tension information is included on the fan skid data plate as shown in Figure. 4-2. Sample data plate shows 4.3 lbs pressure at .30 inches defl ection. A Browning Belt tension gauge is used in Figure.
58 Maintenance JOHNSON CONTROLS FORM 100.50-NOM6 (1207) Filter Drier Replacement The fi lter/drier should be replaced any time work is per formed on the refrigerant circuit. The rooftop unit comes with sealed type (non-replaceable) cores as stan dard.
59 4 JOHNSON CONTROLS FORM 100.50-NOM6 (1207) Disconnect and lock-out power from the unit anytime service is being per- formed on the fan sec tion. Failure to do so could result in serious in ju ry or death due to the fan turning on while work is in progress.

T o confi gure the unit for V A V operation a 10,000 to 20,000 ohm resister must be installed on the P7 (CV/V A V) connector on the control board.
