6 COOKTOP USE Cooktop Controls The control knobs can be s et to anywhere between HI an d LO. Push in a nd turn to se tting . On some models, the surface cook ing area locator shows which element is tur ned on. Use the following chart as a guide when set t ing hea t levels .

12 Meat Thermometer On models wit h out a tempe rature pr obe, use a meat thermometer to determine donenes s of meat, poultry and fish. The inter nal temperature, not appe arance, should be used to determine doneness. A mea t thermometer is not s upplied with this ra nge.
