Before you use your microwave oven Read this “Use and Care Guide” carefully for important use and safety information. It is your personal responsibility and obligation to be sure your microwave oven: l Has been installed where it is protected from the elements.

Using your microwave oven Microwave oven controls There are three parts In the control section -The Dtgital DlsplayiClock. and Signal Lights -Command Pads -Number Pads What each of these does will be covered on the following pages. Read them carefully When you first plug in the oven, a tone sounds and the Display will be blank.
Setting the clock When the oven is first plugged in, the Display will be blank. If the electric power ever goes off, the Display will also be blank when the power comes back on. You can cook without setting the clock, but the Display will show a colon for 5 minutes after the cooking is done, then go blank DO THIS.
Important things to remember to get the best cooking results. l ALWAYS cook food for the minimum recommended cooking time. If necessary, add time in one or two minute periods, then check for doneness to avoid overcooking the food.
Defrosting and cooking at lower cook powers For best results, some recipes call for lower Cook Powers, Lowering the Cook Power slows the cooking. The lower the Cook Power, the slower the cooking. Each Number pad on your microwave oven stands for a different percentage of Cook Power (IO%, 50%.
6. Touch START. d count own The COOK1 Signal Light will stay on to show that the oven is cooking. The Cook Power Signal Light will go off. The oven will cook in the Cook Power you selected. The Display counts down the time to show how much cooking time is left The Cook Power can be checked by touching the COOK POWER Pad.

Checking or changing cooking time or Cook Power settings To double check settings: 1. Touch the command pads for the settings you want to check. The cooking time or Cook Power settings you touched in for those pads will show in the Display.
5. Touch Number Pad for the final temperature you want. (Temperature can be set from 90°F (32°C) to 200°F (93°C). The Display will show the numbers you touched in the order you touched them. This example shows 15O'F (66 C]. The COOK POWER Signal Light will come on and the Display will show “HI:’ 6.
When in Keep Warm, the Display will show the time counting down from 60 minutes. When Keep Warm Cycle is over, you will hear 3 beeps. When the beep- ing stops, the Display will show the time of day. The food can be re- moved any time during the Keep Warm cycle.
Temperature probe cooking chart Using the internal temperature of food is an accurate method of knowing when the food is cooked the way you want it. Remember that food cooked in a microwave oven will continue to cook during the standing time. Food temperature will rise 5 tolo’during the standing time.
Minute timer The microwave oven controls can be used as a kitchen timer. Use COOK1 at “0” Cook Power for timing up to 99 minutes, 99 seconds DO THIS... . . m 1. Touch COOK 1 & 2 once. mma 2. Touch Number Pads for the minutes and seconds you want.
Delayed start The microwave oven can be set to start automatically at a later time. Use COCK 1 Cycle at “0” Cook Power to delay the start of COOK 2 Cycle for up to 99 minutes, 99 seconds. DO THIS... 1. Put in food and close the door. See CAUTION. 2.
Note: If you hear the blower start when you touch START; you have not set the oven properly. Touch CHANGE/CANCEL Pad twice and start over. Extra Information: l You can’t touch in more than 99 minutes, 99 seconds of delay in the COOK1 Cycle. l If you open the door before the oven begins to cook, be sure to retouch START.
