Use the included mounting brackets to mount the CDR-1000 PRO into a 19” rack case. The CDR-1000 PRO requires 1 RU of available rackspace. Installing the Mounting Brackets onto the CDR-1000 PRO Position the mounting brackets on the CDR-1000 PRO with the tabs facing away from the player .

2. Using two RCA (red and white) Cables and Connecting to the UNBALANCED RCA inputs NOTE: The CDR-1000 PRO must be in ANALOG mode 1. Connect an end of each cable to the UNBALANCED left and right inputs on the rear panel of the CDR-1000 PRO. 2. Connect the other end of each cable to the left and right outputs of your player , mixer or amp.
Switching between Analog and Digital 1. When in Playback Mode, press the source button on the front of the CDR-1000 PRO 2. There will be an “A” in the display screen when in Analog mode and a “D” when in Digital mode. NOTE: Y ou will not be able to switch between Analog and Digital modes while the CDR-1000 PRO is in Record Mode.
Front Panel Controls and Functions 1. DISC tray - Inser t discs here. Open and close the disc tray using the EJECT button. 2. LED DISPLA Y - Displays information regarding the CDR-1000 PRO’s operating status. 3. INPUT VOLUME meter - Displays the volume level that is being input for recording.
Front Panel Controls and Functions 8. STOP/CANCEL button - This button is used to STOP disc PLA YBACK. CANCEL recording (When in Record Mode) - Press this button to stop recording. 9. RECORD (**RECORD symbol) button - Press this button to switch the CDR-1000 PRO to Record Mode.
Rear Panel Controls and Functions 1. BALANCED XLR inputs - Use these to input stereo audio using a pair of balanced XLR cables. CDR-1000 PRO must be in Analog mode. 2. UNBALANCED RCA inputs - Use these to input stereo audio using Left and Right (red and white) RCA cables.
Choosing Playback Mode or Record Mode When you first turn on the CDR-1000 PRO, it will be in Playback Mode. Before you can begin recording, it must be in Record Mode. Press the RECORD button to enter into Record Mode and follow the operating instructions in this manual.
Recording 1. Switch the CDR-1000 PRO to Record Mode by pressing the RECORD button. 2. T o begin recording press the ST ART button. The LCD display will say RECORDING and show the track num- ber along with the elapsed recording time. 3. T o stop recording press the CANCEL button.
Finalizing a Disc After you have finished recording onto a disc, you will need to FINALIZE it so that it will be compatible with standard disc players. If a disc has not been finalized, it can only be played back in the CDR-1000 PRO. NOTE: The CDR-1000 PRO must be in Playback Mode in order to finalize a disc.
Problem There is no power when the power switch is turned on. The input source (i.e. disc player , karaoke machine) is playing but there is no sound from the output source (i.e. amp or mixer). The LED display says “ERROR! FINALIZED DISC”. The LED display says “ERROR! CDRW DISC ONL Y”.
Problem The final recording is not loud enough. The disc will not play in other disc players. The LED display says “UNKNOWN”. The LCD display says “NO DISC” when there is a disc is in the disc tray . Solution • The recording volume may have been set too low .
