U sing the Configuration dialog box, y ou can mo dify the button sett ings to meet your specific needs.

These pr eset configurations are found in the Select Configur ation details for each configuration option.

F or example, if you put a photo in the middle of the glass, the scanner will automatically determine the size of the phot o.

F or example, if the scanned image is too dar k, you can adjust the brightness of the scan setting.

This is particularly helpful when you are using P aperP or t to file and save y our scanned items.

If the PaperP ort sof tware is not runni ng, double-click the PaperP ort icon on the Window s desktop to start it.

34 V ISIONEER O NE T OUCH 6600 S CANNER I NSTALLATION AND U SER G UIDE Selecting the pr oper scanner setting be for e scanning produces the best results for a scanned item. The scanne r setting determines the resolution of the item and the number of possible shades of gray or color .
S CANNING FROM THE P APER P ORT S OFTWARE 35 Siz e —The page size for the image. If you want to us e one of the preset sizes, click the dr op-down arr ow and se lect t he size from the list. If you want to create a custom size, click in the pictur e window and drag the mouse.

A DJUSTING THE B RIGHTNESS AND C ONTRAST Sometimes an item is scanned with the brightness and contrast set too light or too dark.

Drag the Contrast slider to the left to decrease the contrast or to the right to increase the contrast.
