71 MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION Oil Level The oil dipstick a nd fill tube ( 1) is loca ted on the e ngine a nd is accessi ble o n the l eft si de of t he A TV . 1. Position the A TV on a leve l surf ace. 2. Start the engine and let it idle for 20-30 sec onds, then stop the engine.
72 MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION Oil and Filter Change CAUTION Hot oil c an cause serious burns t o skin. Do not allow hot oil to come int o contac t with s kin. Alwa ys change the oil and filte r at the interv als outlined in the Periodic Maintena nce Chart beginning on page 64.
