7 C ONNECTING THE A UDIO /V IDEO S OCKETS (P LA CKBA CK ) For more con venient direct playbac k connections, the Side Audio/Video Input soc k ets allow for quick and easy connections, par ticularly Camcor der tape recor dings . – Connect the VIDEO sock et from the Camcorder to the Side VIDEO in socket of the TV .
8 C ONNECTING THE A UDIO /V IDEO S OCKETS (R ECORDING ) Connection for r ecording from the TV channel – Connect the corresponding INPUT sock ets of the VCR to the MONIT OR OUTPUT sockets on the r ear of the TV . – T o enhance the sound of your TV , connect the AUDIO L and R sockets to an external audio system instead of the VCR.

16 S ELECTING THE C OLOUR /S OUND S YSTEM This feature allo ws you to select your desir ed Colour and Sound system. If Auto is selected, the respective colour and sound system will be automaticall y selected according to the transmission system. Note : Select your desir ed colour and sound system manually if reception is poor at Auto mode.

19 E DITING OF C HANNELS This featur e allows you to skip or edit channels which ha ve bad or w eak TV signal or channels that you do not watch often. Note : Once a channel is skipped, you cannot ha ve access to it by the CH (Channel) + or – button.

23 ¸ U SING THE T IMER The Timer feature allo ws you to set the timer to switch to another channel at a specified time while you ar e watching another channel or when the TV is on standby mode . Note : For the timer to function, the set must not be switched off.
24 U SING THE T IMER Select Stop Time . K ey in the time you want the programme to be s witched off. Select Channel . K ey in the channel y ou want to switch to . Select Activate . Activate timer . Y ou can select Once , Daily or Off . Select Displa y .
25 A CTIV A TING THE C HILD L OCK (A CCESS C ODE ) The Child Lock feature allo ws you to lock channels to prev ent your childr en from watching programmes y ou deem undesirable . Note : Y ou can only ha ve access to the lock ed channels via the remote control.

Due to the earth’ s magnetic field and position of the TV , there ma y be a slight tilting of the picture to the left or right when the set is s witched on. When this phenomena accurs, select Rotation in the Featur es menu and adjust accordingly .
35 U SING T HE T ELETEXT If a TV channel broadcast contains teletext inf ormation, each channel that broadcasts teletext transmits a page (index page) with information on how to use the teletext system, usually on page 100. The system transmitted is indicated in the option line at the bottom of the screen.
