Impor tant Notice • This scanning radio has been manuf actured so that it will not tune radio frequencies assigned by the FCC f or cellular telephone usage.
T erminology What is Scanning? Unlike standard AM or FM r adio stations, most two-w ay comm unications do not transmit continuously . The BC780XL T scans the channels you program until it finds an activ e frequency . Scanning stops on an active frequency and remains on that channel as long as the transmission continues .
T runkT rac k™ changes this! Not only does your ne w BC780XL T scan channels like a conv entional scanner , it actually follows the users of a trunk ed radio system.
Feature Highlights • T runk T racking – Follo ws VHF High Band, UHF , 800/900MHz tr unked pub lic safety and public service systems just as if conv entional two-wa y communications were used. • Multi-T rack – T rack more than one trunking system at a time.
Where to Obtain More Inf ormation Bef ore using your scanner , you must progr am frequencies into av ailable channels . The Betty Bearcat F requency Guide lists typical frequencies used around the U .S.A. and Canada that you ma y program into your ne w scanner .
