2 Chapter 1 Overview The user guide explains how to op erate this camera from a com puter. The user should read this manual completely and carefully before operating the camera. 1.1 Introduction This camera is an inexpensive and fully scalable surveillance camera.

4 Chapter 2 Physical Description 2.1 Front V iew Antenna: The user can attach the included antenna to ant enna connector (SMA type) or use another high-gain antenna to get higher perform ance. This camera has a SMA type antenna. Lens & focus ring: The user could use this ring to adjust focus manually.
5 2.2 Bottom V iew Audio Output Jack: Audio-out Jack allows this camera to output audio or alerting sound. DC Power Jack: The input power is 12VDC. Supply the po wer to the camera with the power adapter included in package. Otherwise, the improper power adapter may damage the unit and result in danger.
6 Chapter 3 Hardware Installation Follow the steps below to mount your camera. 1. Attach the camera with the included stand 2. Place the camera on the table or fix it onto ceiling or wall Use three screws to fix the camera onto the ceili ng or wall. You could also put the camera on the table directly.
7 4. Connect the external power supply to camera Connect the attached power adapter to the DC power jack of the camera. Note : Use the power adapter, 12VDC, included in the package and connect it to wall outlet for AC power. Once you have installed the camera well and powe red it on, the Power LED (orange) will turn on later.
8 Chapter 4 Preparation 4.1 Search and Set up by IP Search When you installed the camera on a LAN environm ent, you have two easy ways to search yo ur cameras by IP Search or UPnP™ discovery. Here is the way to execute IP Search to discover camera’s IP address and set up rela ted parameter in a camera.
9 4.1.2 Vi ew If IP Search finds network cameras, View button will be available. Pl ease select the camera you want to view and click the View button. Then you could see t he video from camera directly. Furthermore, you could double click the left button of mouse to link to the network camera by browser.
10 If you do not want to change userna me and/or password, just click “ Submit ” button to perform your setting accordingly. Click “ << ” button to go back to the previous page. If you like to change username and/or password of t he camera, just click the check button.
11 4.1.4 Wireless In case you want to change the IP related param eters of wireless interface, please select the camera you want to configure and click the WIRELESS button. Relative settings will be carried out as above. Click SSID to select your wireless AP or router and key in WEP or WPA key.
12 Confirm the wireless setting and then submit the settings. Click OK to confirm these parameters, then IP Search will start to configure this camera with specified information.
13 Once this step is finished, IP Search will prom pt you to unplug the Ether net cable to activate wireless access. Then IP Search will prompt you to test wireless setti ng or finish wireless procedure as below.

16 4.5 Logging in as a User If you log in the camera as an ordinary user , “Setting” function will not be accessible. 4.6 Logging in as an Administrator If you log in the camera as an Administrator, y ou can perform all the settings provided by the camera.
17 Chapter 5 Operating the Camera Start-up screen will be shown as follow no matter you log into the camera as an ordinary user or as an administrator. 5.1 Monitor Image Section The image shot by the camera is shown here. The date and time are displayed at the top of the window.

22 Chapter 6 Administrating the Camera This function is only available for the user logged into camera as administrator. Click on each menu name to display its setting page Item Action Network Configu.
23 6.1.1 Network This section provides the menu for connec ting the camera through Ethernet cable. ¾ MAC address: Displays the Ethernet MAC address of t he camera. Note that the user can not modify it. ¾ Obtain IP address automatically (DHCP): DHCP: Stands for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol.

29 6.1.5 PPPoE PPPoE: Stands for Point to Po int Protocol over Ethernet A standard builds on Ethernet and Point-to-Point netwo rk protocol. It allows your camera with xDSL or cable connects with br oadband network d irectly, then your camera can dial up and get a dynamic IP address.
30 6.1.6 Streaming RTSP is a streaming control protoc ol, and a starting point for n egot iating transports such as RTP, multicast and Unicast, and for negotia ting codecs. RTSP can be consi dered a "remote control" for controlling the media stream deliver ed by a me dia server.
