28 EN Information on DVD Recording This unit can record on D VD-RW/-R discs and D VD+RW/+R discs. D VD-R/+R discs allow you to record programmes only once, and the recorded contents can be erased although the space left on the disc does not change.

30 EN Formatting a Disc When inser ting a brand-new D VD-RW/+R W disc, the unit automatically star ts to initiali se the disc. D VD+R W disc will alwa ys be f ormatted in +VR mode, and D VD-RW disc will be formatted either video or VR mode according to the recording format mode setting of the unit.
