OA 5000 Series User Manual 2 --- 5 Setting Attenuation Levels Because the OA 5000 automati cally adjusts the attenuator to co rrect for different wavelengths, i t is impo rtant, for attenuator accuracy , to co rrectly match the display ed w avelength with the wavelength of the si gnal go ing i nto the unit.

OA 5000 Series User Manual 3 --- 1 Setting Up the Instrument This sectio n tells you ho w to prepare the OA 5000 O ptical Attenuator for use with a remote contro ller or computer . The first part of this sectio n explains how to connect the O A 5000 to a controll er or computer through the GPI B interface.
