4 ELECTRICAL SAFETY • NOTE - This appliance must be grounded. In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, grounding will reduce the risk of electric shoc k by providing a path of least resistance of electrical current. You will be able to tell if it is because a non-grounded appliance will give off an electrical discharge.

6 UPON DELIVERY: When your Fridge-Freezer has been delivered, you will need to wait approximately 3 hours before turning it on. The fluid of the compressor inst alled in the appliance will need time to settle. PL EASE DO NOT PLUG IN ANY EARLIER THAN THIS! NOTE : THERE CAN BE AN ODOUR WHEN YOU FIRST SWITCH ON THE APPLIANCE.
7 PLEASE FAMILIARISE YOURSELF WITH THE DISPLAY PANEL AT THE TOP OF THE UNIT (ILLUSTRATED BELOW). KEY (from left in above figure) DIALS o TEMPERATURE CONTROL – Turn this dial between Minimum and Maximum to select the interior temperature you want for your fridge.
8 FROST FREE FEATURE IMPORTANT NOTE : Both your fridge and freezer are FROST FREE. This means that you will NEVER HAVE TO DEFROST either your refrigerator or your freezer .
9 WARNING! If the appliance is switched off then switched back on again after a short period, the compressor will start up again after approximately half-an-hour .
10 REMINDER : You should regulate the temperature of your Fridge-Freezer bearing the following in mind : o Ambient temperature o How often the doors ar e opened and closed o Quantity of food stored in.
9 • The Storage life of frozen food depends on the room temperature, thermostat setting, how often the d oor is opened, the type of food and how long it has taken to get the food from the store to your freezer. Always follow the printed packaging instructions and never exceed the maximum storage life indicated.
12 • This refrigerator is equi pped with a deodorizer that traps and breaks down unpleasant sm ells, thus keeping the air in the refrigeration compartment fresh. • This deodorization system is located in the cooling air passage in the wall of the refrigeration compartment.
13 NOTE: Before attempting to clean your Fridge-Freezer, UNPLUG IT and make sure you do the following: 9 Remove the baskets and the ice-cube tray. 9 Leave the door open. 9 In order to collect water deposits, take out the bottom drawer and soak up the water using a sponge.
