1 Intro d u c tion This manual describes design, function, operation and maintenance of the modular rear projection system C YCLOPS of BARCO. C YCLOPS is a modular structure to house a 3-panel Poly-Silicon LCD projector. Cyclops 100S has a screen diagonal of approx.

Projector: The projector employed in C YCLOPS is based on most modern 3-panel poly-Silicon LCD technology.

Poly-Silicon material consists of nu- merous small crystals leading to small circuitry. Do not press any longer on the standby key otherwise the projector will restart.

The projector's memory contains a list of files corresponding to the most used sources. When the new source corresponds with one of these files, the file can be loaded and saved for future use.

Consult the source specification before entering the data. To start up the EDIT menu : Push the cursor key up or down to highlight 'Edit' .
C YCLOPS (2001-12) R5976426 8-5 How to find the correct values for the displayed item? During the installation of a file with LOAD , the horizontal period, the total number of vertical lines and the interlaced mode are automatically measured and filled in the menu table.
C YCLOPS (2001-12) R5976426 8-6 Field Select: Default [ both ] The field select is only used for interlaced images. One frame of an interlaced image contains two fields, an even and an odd field. The choice exists to project [ both ] fields on the screen or only the [ even ] or [ odd ] field.

C YCLOPS (2001-12) R5976426 8-13 8.3.2 Size The size can be adjusted in a vertical or horizontal way. When adjusting the vertical size, the upper side of the image is fixed (table and ceiling mounted configurations) and only the lower side can be moved to its exact position.

C YCLOPS (2001-12) R5976426 9-3 9.2 800 Pe r ip her al Output module selection When a RCVDS05 is connected to the projector, the type of output module of this RCVDS05 has to be defined in the 800 peripheral menu . The type of output module can be: standard output module or 5 cable output module.
C YCLOPS (2001-12) R5976426 9-4 9.5 Interna l P atterns The projector is equipped with different internal patterns which can be used for measurement pur- poses. To select an internal pattern, handle as follow: Push the cursor key up or down to highlight 'Internal Patterns' .
