Repeat step 3 and 4 until coinc idence is obtained of t he green patter n in the lower lef t and upper right of the projected i mage.
12. Ser vic ing 12.4 Convergence (old system) About this chapter This chapter describes how to prepare the pr ojector for convergence adjustment and how to adjust the convergence i n case the convergence mechanism is NOT equipped with extenders.
12. Ser vicin g 12.4.1 Action of the convergence controls In fl uence of the c ontrols on the c onvergences The DMD assemblies are provided with 3 adjustable screws. Th e assembly itself is kept in plac e by a plunger near the adjustable screw . These plungers may not be re-adjusted ( indica ted in the drawing wit h the prohibited sign).
12. Ser vic ing 12.4.2 Re-converging Green o n Blue C AUTION : Be cautious when adjusting the convergence co ntrols, because a small turn causes a large deg ree of shift. Before starting the re-convergence, remove both side covers, front cover and top cover .
12. Ser vicin g Necessary t ools • 2x R847204 : steel screwdriver with 1/ 16” ended hex blade. • R847205 : square driv e socket with sol dered hexagon key of 2.5 mm • R847203 : Steel sc rewdriver with 0.05” ended hex blade • A l l e nk e y3m m • Allen key 2.

12. Ser vicin g 12.4.3 Readjustment of the p lungers C AUTION : Do NOT adjust the plungers on the DMD assembly , if small convergence drifts have to be corrected only . For extreme convergence adjustments, possible in case after t he replacement of a DMD assembly , a readjust- ment of the plung ers can be n ecessary .
12. Ser vic ing 12.4.4 Re-converging Red on Blue C AUTION : Be cautious when adjusting the convergence co ntrols, because a small turn causes a large deg ree of shift.

12. Ser vic ing 2. Carefully release the 4 lock-down screws, holding the DMD unit onto Prism frame. Tip : Release the lock-down screws in a way the DMD assembly becomes slightly movab le. Keep in mind that at the end of the re-convergence, ti ghtening the DMD unit can cause some small convergence drift.
12. Ser vicin g If necessary to readju st the plungers, see "Readj ustment of the plungers" , page 1 16. Close the c onverg ence cover , reinst all a ll cover s of the proj ector .
12. Ser vic ing 12.5 Authorization to clear se curity warning When is an authorization req uired to clear the security warning? If the Input & Comm unication unit has been remo ved or the sealed c ompartment has been opened an authoriz ation will be required to clear the security warning.
