10 Notes on us ing your c amer a Shooting proc edure • This camera has 2 modes for monitoring subjects: the LCD screen mode using the LCD screen, and the viewfinder mode using the viewfinder. • The recorded image may be different from the image you monitored before recording.
11 Notes on using your camera temperature of the camera drops before continuing to shoot. • The surface of the camera may get warm. This is not a malfunction. Notes on i mporting AVCHD movies to a compute r When importing AVCHD movies to a computer, for Windows computers, use the “PlayMemories Home” software on the CD-ROM (supplied).

20 Charging the battery pack Note s • The charging time d iffers depending on the remaini ng capacity of the battery pa ck or charging conditions. • We recommend charging the battery pack in an ambient temperature of between 10°C to 30°C (50°F to 86°F) .

Make sure that the device is compatible with exFAT before connecting it to the camera.
24 Attach ing a lens Note s • When attaching a lens, do not press the lens release button. • Do not use force when attaching a lens. • E-mount lenses are not compatible with this camera.

42 Using the flash (Flash Off) Doe s not fire even the built-in fla sh pops up. • You cannot select this item when the mode dial is set to P, A, S, or M. However, the flash will not be fired if it is not pulled up. (Autoflash) Fires if it is dark or again st light.

Note • When an FDA-A1AM Angle Finder (sold separately) i s attached to the camera, switch the display between the viewfinder and the L CD screen by pressing the FINDER/LCD button.

96 Selecting the shooting mode • Pr ess the button when you shoot with the flash. However, when using the flash, if you close the aperture (a larger F-number) by making the s hutter speed slower, the light of the flash will not reach distant subjects.

98 Selecting the shooting mode • Use a tripod . • Set the focus to infinity in manu al focus mode when shoot ing firewor ks, etc. When th e infinity posi tion of the lens is not known, first adju st the focus on firew orks that is set off in the sam e general area , then shoot them.
