13 MZ-N10 Self-Diagnosis Result Displa y Mode This set uses the self-diagnostic function system in which if an error occurred during the recording or playing, the mechanism control block and the po wer supply contr ol block in the microcomputer detect it and record its cause as history in the non volatile memory .

Pressing the [T MARK] key or [DISPLAY] ke y on the remote commander for se veral seconds (about 3 seconds) activ ates the ke y check mode.

17 MZ-N10 SECTION 5 ELECTRICAL ADJUSTMENTS Outline • In this set, automatic adjustment of CD and MO can be per- formed by entering the test mode. Howe ver , before starting automatic adjustment, the memory clear , power supply adjustment, and laser po wer check must be performed in the manual mode.

Connect a digital voltmeter to the TP1909 (REG1) on the MAIN board, and adjust [VOL +] ke y (voltage up) or [VOL - - ] key (voltage do wn) so that the voltage becomes 2.15 V . 2. Press the X ke y or the ke y on the remote commander to write the adjusted v alue.

Caution: T he application that meets the microcomputer version in this set must be used when re writing the patch data.
